I am assuming Ohtani to the Jays happens. Somebody knocked the Dodgers out of it, and from what I read, it sounds like Toronto made a very good late offer. Congrats to the Jays. I think is good for baseball as well.

Sadly, I feel like you're right. But here's hoping, ya know?

It's going to be a dud of an off-season.
I don't think they'll give him a blank check, but I think they will make a strong push for him. It's not often when a 25-year-old top-of-the-rotation starter hits the market. Henry has complained that teams, including the Sox, spend too much on pitchers on the wrong side of 30. Here's his opportunity. The question is whether he's willing to go over $300 million, because that's where the bidding is going.

Could very well happen, but I think I'll wait for a more reputable source than the editor of a web site I've never heard of.
He is signing with the Jays tonight, my friend just called me, his daughter works for TSN and was told he is landing in Toronto at 430PM today to meet with the Jays. They have a reservation at a Japanese restaurant at 700 PM for dinner. Kikuchi is joining them as well, he went to the same High School as Ohtani and are friends,

If it's Soto to the Yankees, the 4th place team and Ohtani to the Blue Jays, the 3rd place team John Henry can f right off. Let's raise ticket prices though.

If it's:

Red Sox
Yankees
Mets
Dodgers

I have ZERO faith the Red Sox end up with the player. None.

To me the most disappointing thing I heard was Breslow saying they did well in the winter meetings.
Yup they didn’t waste money on second tier guys like in the past

Without Magic they are 5th maybe grab 4th

if they were gifted Ohtani & Yamamoto they probably don’t win division

They don’t suck and have a bunch of interesting young players but being 500 would be good

If I was running the ticket office I know Toronto & Yanks will sell out

Summer weekend games

Should get interest for a handful of others

And early week night I’m putting together packages, give aways - honor the 2004 guys

If it's:

Red Sox
Yankees
Mets
Dodgers

I have ZERO faith the Red Sox end up with the player. None.
Mets gotta be favored

At this point I kinda hope the Dodgers do get Yamamoto. Let's just have every other team shove it right up John Henry's ass. You want old school Red Sox anger from fans? It's coming.
I’d rather Yankees and watch him in person and on TV at 7 pm

He’s pretty special

Old school anger from Red Sox fans was something we used to see from days of Yaz to Grady Little

I miss the passion and it gives a break from moronic QB talk

I hate the Yankees but it’s better when they are bullies and have an F U attitude

Who didn’t hate Paul O’Neill
