glad they are being so aggressive in their due diligence and checking in but not actually spending money
Well when they signed him didn't he have injury concerns? I forget the details but I thought that was part of why there wasn't a huge market for him. He might not have missed a lot of time but there was speculation about him not being able to play shortstop because of his elbow or something. He didn't start having injury issues until 2022.
He averaged something like 145+ games a year before coming to Boston.
Should I be concerned that this was part of my wife’s vows?
From today Globe
In 2023, the American League East was arguably the most brutal division in baseball history. The Orioles, Rays, Blue Jays, Yankees, and Red Sox combined for a 449-361 record, a whopping .554 winning percentage. Outside of the division, the AL East teams had a 189-101 mark, a mind-blowing .652 winning percentage that would translate to a 106-56 record over a full season.
Makes sense to me but I’m an idiotI don’t get this whole….
”They’re looking at pitching first” garbage.
It‘s not like they only need pitching. Jesus…..if you want Hernandez, go out and sign him.
There are 24 hours in a day!
You can negotiate with more than one player at a time.
They like being in on everyone while never actually coming away with anyoneglad they are being so aggressive in their due diligence and checking in but not actually spending money
They like being in on everyone while never actually coming away with anyone
Factual thoughExcuses, excuses.....
I’m happy the Yankees are back to wanting to be bullies and I sure hope Ohtani goes to Toronto. If Ohtani is in Toronto more time to watch him here and in eastern time zone
Also it forces the Red Sox to shit or get off the potWhat fun is being a billionaire and people give you shit and trash youwatching AL East will be like the golden age of heavy weights in 70’s with Ali, Frazier, Foreman, Ken Norton, and Jerry Quarry.Unfortunately we are Quarry
If Anyone ever interested go read up on Quarry - very sad but the dude was tough
He would be a God to the we need to be tougher Bruins crowd
Verdugo must have been a significant headache. To me the most disappointing thing I heard was Breslow saying they did well in the winter meetings.
But a easy headache to get rid of.Verdugo must have been a significant headache.
Agreed.I don’t get it either. That’s like my wife telling me she likes me, but if she finds something better first she’s going with him.
Makes sense to me but I’m an idiot
There are plenty of hitters available
ideally a 26 old Chase Utley or Jeff Kent would be available to put at second
Offer Yamamoto 10/300 and
A pray he signs with you
B doesn’t need Tommy John till atleast year 7
If that fails get 2-3 starters for 3-4 years or less under $25 M who are decent enough
Build a hellacious bullpen
Need to have 4-5 guys who can choke out 7-9th inning and make six inning game
i would like Jansen, Houck, Whitlock, Martin, and someone else (Slaton?) to take over 7-9 innings
Pivetta
Bello
Crawford
Fill in 4 & 5 starters
All we need now is sign Yamamoto & Montgomery, and Lugo and we are all set
Pretty easy lol
The first Trudeau prime minister outlawed female acne in 1978. It was clearly a good move.I live here and if I was Ohtani and the world was my scallop I’d sign with Toronto.
Have any of you ever been to Canada or met a Canadian? It’s clean and the women all have clear skin.
Also you become the biggest thing up there since Shane Bieber.
No Canadian hockey team has won a Cup in 30 years and there is no end in sight.
Ohtani in Toronto makes so much sense
Still think it'll be Los Angeles. Hopefully once all this is wrapped up, things will really start to move.
