That team looks awful
He's a tweener, but means a lot for him to get a 1-way, and shouldn't be an issue to send him down if he doesn't make it, he'll still get paid well.I actually wrote about it last week that his filing for arbitration was to get a one way deal.
Bruins Arbitration Cases Set
The deadline for NHL players to file for salary arbitration arrived Wednesday at 5:00 PM and three Bruins had filed: Jeremy Swayman, Trent Frederic and Ian Mitchell. Because the players filed, the …dom.hockey
2.912 mil cheaper than Gryz. Mitchell costs 21% of what Gryz costs. Think that is significant when you consider the cap situation in Boston ?A poor man's Gryz?
so let's see you make the cap work with keeping HallSeeing the lineup on paper just emphasizes how ridiculous the decision was to trade Taylor Hall over any of like 7 other guys on the roster.
JVR on the 2nd line lol. Frederic and Lauko both being on the 3rd. They better hope both Bergeron and Krejci come back.
That 4th line is a murder squadThis is where I think the dust settles:
Marchy-Bergy-Debrusk
Zacha-Krejci-Pasta
JVR-Coyle-Geekie
Lucic-Frederic-Lauko
Brown
Gryz-McAvoy
Lindholm-Carlo
Lohrei-Shattenkirk
Mitchell/Zboril
Ullmark
Swayman
Forbort gets moved to Anaheim with a B level prospect
Swayman re-signs 2.5 million
Frederic gets 2.25 million
Bergy and Krejci both back for 1.5 million
If by that you mean they'll get murdered in their own defensive zone, then I agreeThat 4th line is a murder squad
Beyond that they probably would have had to attach more futures to move some of the other guys. They’re not in a position to be doing thatso let's see you make the cap work with keeping Hall
and not trading Grz or Forbort, since I bet that they have been trying
Go have yourself a cupcake and cheer up bud.If by that you mean they'll get murdered in their own defensive zone, then I agree
That team looks awful
I get what you're saying but there's also a 60 goal scorer in that bottom 9 which is pretty ridiculous on its ownThat bottom9 sure would.
About all the offensive talent gone
Yup, let's resign Heinen and Bjork instead of having some guys with actual grit in the forward group. You must love the powder puft defense. If by that you mean they'll get murdered in their own defensive zone, then I agree
Minus Krejci. Highly unlikely he returnsThis is where I think the dust settles:

I think come December/January Krejci is playing hockey; he has said that if he returns it won't be before December(?) I believe. In my mind that means he's playing, it is just a matter of where he plays, I'd say 50/50 in a Bruins uniform.Minus Krejci. Highly unlikely he returns
Pump the brakes, my guy. Did I say I want the likes of Heinen and Bjork on the 4th line? And when did I even reference the defense?Yup, let's resign Heinen and Bjork instead of having some guys with actual grit in the forward group. You must love the powder puft defense.
Trade one of the goalies ... Terrible idea retaining 2 elite goalies especially when the bruins desperately need upgrades to team offence (trade now / all time highest value). Trading Ullmark is the best option ... what are his trade restrictions (if any)?“It doesn't mean I won’t. You guys know me well enough. I have to do my job as to what might present, and the goalie market is an interesting one right now.”
Swayman and the Bruins face arbitration July 30
I don't mind the 4th line...Frederic is a perfect 4th line center, Lauko brings the speed/rat role, and Lucic brings the nasty.Pump the breaks, my guy. Did I say I want the likes of Heinen and Bjork on the 4th line? And when did I even reference the defense?
That proposed 4th line features a "center" with a career 43.9% faceoff win percentage (43.9!) and Lucic at wing. They would get absolutely throttled in their own end and you know it.
I agree with you trading Hall was a bad decision and the effects will be realize for sometime..........Hall was on the third line and was more productive than JVR who possibly could be a second line winger............I have enjoyed Bergey and Krecji all these years like many fans out there , but another year that they come back is just kicking the can down the road.......I do have a fear that if they don't comeback they the Bruins will overpay and saddle themselves with a center that could make the cap situation more desperate.............Seeing the lineup on paper just emphasizes how ridiculous the decision was to trade Taylor Hall over any of like 7 other guys on the roster.

Kicking the can one more season is fine with me. Plenty of cap space next summer to obtain a top 6 centerI agree with you trading Hall was a bad decision and the effects will be realize for sometime..........Hall was on the third line and was more productive than JVR who possibly could be a second line winger............I have enjoyed Bergey and Krecji all these years like many fans out there , but another year that they come back is just kicking the can down the road.......I do have a fear that if they don't comeback they the Bruins will overpay and saddle themselves with a center that could make the cap situation more desperate.............
Has anyone considered that if we progressively go smaller and smaller from Gryz, we may have players impossible to hit?
At 4'7 or so I gotta think someone with a great shot would be very elusive. Maybe we've been thinking about this wrong the whole time?
