Does Gallant get the dreaded vote of confidence from Drury or does he just get fired in the next 48 hours?

Drury probably cans his arse tomorrow. Office getting cleared out right now maybe and key card deactivated.

Such a shame with the Rags and Georgiev getting booted from the playoffs. Chokers til the end.

I guess the Rags just need a few more stars forcing their way to NYC (obviously Panarin, Kane, Tank, etc. weren't enough), a couple more college loophole free agents (like Fox and the comp they got for Hayes) PLUS a few gift lottery picks to really compete (because clearly Laf, Krappo, Kapsoft, Lias, etc. weren't enough).

Talk about all of the advantages and none of the success. Culture of failure. Shame.

Panarins deal might be worse than Horvat
That is what happens when you sign a player simply to spite your competition AND do it a redundant position.

But it might have cost the Isles a chance to beat Tampa, so they have that going for them, I guess.

Yooo. How even????

I know people used to joke that he could end up like Alexandre Daigle, but Daigle at least netted 20 goals in his rookie season and 26 in his next, healthy year.

Meanwhile Laf has gone 12-19-16 in goals scored over his first three seasons, and the last two he was very healthy.

Laf might need to work to get to Daigle status!

Happy Rangers lost, sad because I think only them and maybe the Stars have the ability to beat the Leafs in the playoffs, go Stars

good to see the Rags lose. Man, kakko and Laf were invisible every game I saw. Unless that flip is switched they may peak at 60 point players at best. Metro fans would have taken that result every day of the week when finding out they were gifted top #2 lottery wins . Hughes on the other hand is freakin really good. Kid is hungry

Gallant is going to get fired, no?

I dont blame Gallant for this one, that team took the foot off the pedal just as bad as the Islanders. However this is the Rangers and Suter and Laviolette are available now. So who knows.

One thing I will say about NYR is that I admire how they went all in for the cup. They traded prospects for Tank and Kane. They had a window and went with it. I respect them for that. However I am so glad they lost. Now I need the Leafs to lose and give me a Kracken / Devils Stanley Cup.

He got called out by his GM last year for not being good enough in the playoffs and responded with 2 secondary assists in 7 games. He’s a big problem for them right now.

Hopefully a problem that only gets worse. Going to be 32 next season. Hope he keeps up his playoff woes.

For all the luck the rangers have had over the last few years (Fox forcing his way to them, winning the 1st and 2nd overall picks) they sure find a way to suck. Lafrienere and Kakko are so bad you love to see it.

I look at the Devils like I look at the Giants. Being a Jets fans, all of my hatred is tied up in the Patriots, so I really don’t mind the Giants.

I’d rather them not win the cup, but I’d also definitely rather see them win than Carolina

And he has disappeared for long stretches more frequently the last two years. Panarin looks like a player who is very comfortable and more about just living in NYC, as opposed to playing in NYC and looking to win.
