No explosiveness that I've seen, but he's steady & strong with long strides. He's light on his skates. No issues with turns, etc.

Needs to shoot more. He's pass 1st center, for sure. And, he can be a bit passive physically, but no surprise considering he's played in Slovakia all his life. I think he rises into late 1st.

I plan on watching him all year as he seems a good candidate for growth as he settles into North American game.
First period hat trick for Honzek against Prince George. If he had a better team around him his numbers would be even better as well.

Edit: Looks like it was a scoreboard glitch. Just 2 goals in the first.

Watched Kitchener and Sudbury tonight. This was my 3rd time seeing Musty tonight and he was fairly quiet. Seems like a mercurial player, the other two games I saw he was awesome. Chromiak who is eligible next year looked steady too and picked up his first OHL goal. I think he will be talked about more next year.

On Kitchener there was a D called Brzustewicz and I thought he played a good first and second period despite the Wolves dominating the Rangers. I hadn't heard of him before but he is apparently a first rounder this year in the eyes of many scouts. Hes got good size and great passing/breakouts. Also a few great plays in the corners/behind the net. I'll be keeping him in mind as the year goes on, could be a target with FLA pick.

Yeah, I've watch him a couple of times this year, and he plays a smart game. He's big, but not in a bruiser way. I brought him up because he got ranked late 2nd on a few lists. I already think that's too low.

Looking forward to seeing him at WJCs.

Succumb to the Zach Benson bandwagon gents. High IQ, tenacity, skill. We can add another smallish guy to the top 6 with Dach, Slaf and Dubois also a possibility. Marty will make Benson a star.
I like Benson but yeah... it kinda sucks that the team has so many small forwards and also in the pipeline. Id rather think Mesar/Roy/Farrell pan out as top 6er.

Lukas Dragicevic is outscoring Brayden Yager at the moment. Only 3 points behind Andrew Cristall who continues to have an excellent season. I've never seen anything like this out of the WHL before, with so many high level prospects playing at once. Koehn Ziemmer with 31 points.
Dragicevic definitely took a big step forward this season. Rockets played against TC many times last season, and I wasn't really impressed by him. But this year, every time I watch TC's game, he's the best player in their lineup. Heavy shot, fluid skating, playing with a lot confidence. Points is not all for his game. Rockets will play TC next week, so I'll take a closer look at him.
6 of WHL top10 scorer are come from 2023 draft class. That's insane.

I'm very impressed with Cristall as well, as you know. He's just so deadly, and while he's not a perfect player, I don't see anything that scares me off.

Cristall has too many pressure on his shoulder, he's a special player for rockets, a real core of this team. He probably carried the heaviest team responsibility among the whole WHL. Rockets only scored 13 goals when he's not on the ice. When he's on the ice, the number was 39. Even pats scored more goals when bedard wasn't on the ice… He only had 2 secondary assists this season, because there is nobody to help him. I just want to see he plays more free and simple, takes more defensive responsibilities (Because others can't clear a puck if he doesn't engage.)
Hope Dach could find himself back and relief Cristall's pressure.

It looks to me like he's doing really well with that pressure. I don't think there's a need to make excuses or pity him, he goes out there and does his best, which happens to be about as good as anyone not named Bedard.

I hope he could work on his defensive play, but look like it won't happen in this season for coach still want him to focus on offense. IMO Benson is a more comprehensive player which I'd like to see cristall be. But cristall is cristall, he won't be Bedard or Benson, that doesn't stop me from liking him, I believe every player is unique

At the Hlinka, I thought he deserved more ice time as he was one of our best player. He was looking dominant even tho he didn’t have elite linemates or PP time. His offensive skills are off the chart, which makes me think he has a really high ceiling. Add this to the crazy start of the year he’s having. Really interesting player.

There's time enough for defence. For the moment it suffices for me that he looks engaged and committed, and does his best to contribute.
