I really like this kid after reading that and watching the embedded video.

I think he give Bedard and Michkov a run for their money this year.
He will to some degree. If only because scouts will always find a big guy with skills intriguing. Plus Michkov has a lot of question marks around him that might scare a few teams.

Thanks, I disagree with Moore being the #1 guy but I like his conviction in his rankings.

Jacob Fowler is also a great shout for the guys clamoring that there is no 1st round goalie talent in this draft, hopefully he joins the USDP this year.

Someone has some informations on Hunter Brzustewicz? What type of D he is or some highlights?

Edit: oh just saw the article above. Someone has highlights or videos though?

I'll get to see a ton of Stramel since he'll be at Wisconsin with Smilanic/Gorniak and I get the bulk of the big 10 games on tv/streaming but will try to keep an eye on Musty since it looks like I will be watching a lot of the OHL this season. Danny Nelson also sounds interesting.

If Cameron Allen has a good year be ideal pick for us. Hughes looking like he is looking at future goalie also. We could draft a goalie with Florida pick or our own second. Most drafts have a decent goalie in them. Get the best goalie in this draft

There's been more than a few people worrying about the next goalie in the pipeline.

Next year Vinni will be the prize.

However there are some interesting names to follow this year.
Jacob Fowler G (USHL).. his numbers in the USHL in a D-1 are eye-popping. Close to ideal size for a goaltender, really good eyes and a wicked glove hand. Calm in the net with refined rebound control.

Michael Hrabal G (Czech Republic) this is a more raw package, dude is a mammoth in the net, has athleticism but his technique needs a lot of refinement. You'd be betting on upside here but he'd be a really intriguing goalie to add to the pipeline.

Noa Vali G (Finland).. he's played 2 games so far this year at the U20 level where he's posted a shut-out in 1 game and only allowed 2 in the other with a .960 save percentage. He's a smaller goalie at 6'0 but plays a lot like Saros.

There's some later names like Zavragin (rough play-off and start this year but has better size than Vali) and Ratzlaff (not ideal size but very composed and competitive).

Wouldn't mind to see our 2nd round pick used on Fowler or Hrabal.. but if they find that too rich, we could take a gamble on Vali despite less than ideal size in the 3rd.

Hrabal would be my guy, he was quite good at the Hlinka. Vali is probably the more established of the bunch ATM but 6ft and with a small frame to boot just doesn't scream NHL goalie prospect to me in this day and age.

Depends on the skating like Saros. I'll be watching Vali's feet explicitly this year to see if he's got the elite skating/explosiveness required to overcome his frame.

Should we got after the best defenseman, if we drop out of the top 3-5 in the 2022 draft? The habs need a elite #1 defenseman.

I think Michkov should get drafted #2 unless he shows no interest in coming to NA. You just don't pass up on a talent like that. Even if he comes into the league at like 23, you can sign him to an ELC and you get a superstar player making under 1 million for at least 2 years.

We will see how the Dmen will look closer to the draft. We will maybe see someone like Seider/Heiskanen who will climb the rankings

Who do you like in the Q this year? Not just defense..

Jordan Tourigny is the only one I've seen so far that I like for a potential 1st/early 2nd.

I really like Ethan Gauthier, he's probably the only one with Tourigny that I see in the 1st round early 2nd for now.

Other guys that could maybe go in that spot that I like (In order) and I will follow are:

Tyler Peddle F (Drummundville)
Mathieu Catafard F (Halifax)
Étienne Morin D (Moncton)

Yes I forrgot Gauthier.

I don't really like Cataford, tbh. I'll get some chances to watch live again this year but I feel like his pedigree =/= what he actually does.

He's the one I know the least in that list to be honest, but he played really well the game I saw him. I'm curious to see what the new coaching staff in Halifax will do. I really didn't like what JJD did before and I think It did hurt some prospect

This year is full of elite center/winger. I can see us drafting our #1 center this year. By the next 2 years, we really need to draft a elite defenseman. I don't see any elite or franchise defenseman on this organisation. We need to draft one in the top 10(draft 2024-2025).
