Why don't you email him the list? That way we know he'll have it.
Wilde was on tsn690 and actually said he's heard from his sources that management aren't looking to draft a small forward like Michkov or Benson...

I don't think they'll be giving many clues before draft day, so we'll have to wait until June 28th to see who they like, just like with Slaf..

I can't believe TSN 690 allows Wilde to have a weekly segment. This Habs hockey ops group is very tight lipped.

Wilde had his sources telling him they were taking Wright all the way through.

Simply to say, I don't really buy the validity of the source.

Indeed he's clueless. Wright wasn't even considered by our scouts because of character and management determined it was best to get another center instead.

This year my picks are either Michkov or Reinbacher. Go for the very safe yet full of upside positional need or superstar russian.

I don't care if he comes in 2 3 years, every other prospect not named Bedard will have the same development path and timeline. Risk reward is out of this world if we get him at 7.

And what are your sources lol

If we stay in the 5-7 range, i have a feeling Yager will come in the discussion while we're approaching the draft. The guy is pretty much checking all the boxes on and off the ice and he's having tremedous playoffs and last year they seemed to put alot of emphasis on how Slaf performed in the clutch situations.

I would hope the season didn't happen just to end up with someone like Yager with a top ten, never mind top five pick. Everytime I watch him play, I get flashbacks of the first scouting table scene from Moneyball.

Really neat prospect to have, worth consideration with the Florida pick, but I find there are other players available that are better today while still carrying superior upside.

I think what they valued the most was being in charge of Slaf’s development. That wouldn’t have been the case with Cooley, and they likely thought Wright wasn’t NHL ready like Seattle.

With Reinbacher, they can have him in the AHL right away. The development of Barron must be eye-opening as to what that coaching staff can do with a talented defenceman. He fits the biggest need and they do value size.

I don't believe a word of anything that hack says but it would be so funny if they passed on Michkov or Benson because they're small but they took f***in Mesar over Kulich

I guess the biggest chances for Michkov to get the permission to leave would be to a canadian team. If he‘s available I‘d draft him if we don‘t end up drafting 1st overall.

Trading for Seider would be a dream but I don‘t think Detroit is interessted

The best you can do is the unoriginal "you've never watched him play" line (seriously?) and imply I am harbouring Russian xenophobia over a benign post where I put Fantilli #2 (like many other lists). Bizarre reaction that I can only chalk up to small man syndrome.

I like Fantilli at #2 because of where I see him projecting in 5 years in terms of value to a team. I don't buy for a minute that Bedard and Michkov will have similar impacts in the NHL even if Michkov were to come to NA this summer. Bedard and Michkov were always linked together as high end talents and elite level goal scorers. Bedard has since proven that he also has elite level playmaking and is one of very few prospects ever to carry a team on his back to gold on the WJC stage in his draft year the way he did. Not a knock on the others near the top in this draft...Bedard's just that good of a prospect. Also teams know from many interactions with him that he has A+ character. He is a far better known commodity who has passed all the tests with flying colours.

I didn't say you didn't watch him. I said the narrative behind picking Fantilli ahead of Michkov made no sense if you remove the russian problem and would pick Bedard ahead of him.

I think you may be underrating what Michkov achieved in the past three years.
Having the 2nd best D-2 U18 behind Ovechkin, beating Kucherovs total in the MHL, for the best ever.
Beating Kuznetsov and Kucherovs u18 MHL season for the best season ever and recording the best u18 KHL season ever.
This season he recorded the best KHL/RSL season ever for a draft year prospect, beating out Tarasenkos previous mark. He recorded the best draft year production ever in the VHL.

For all intents, Michkov is the best russian prospect ever. Bedard may be the 5th best canadian prospect ever.
Reinbacher still seems like a bit of a reach to me at 5 but another interesting take on him...

Weird take to call him slow.

He is a powerful skater.

McKeen have Reinbacher at #26 as of 13 hrs ago. He is their 5th best dman in the draft.

McKeens are clowns, 26th ? Come on.

s. It is difficult to know where one skill set starts and the other ones end. To me the hardest thing to do in hockey is score goals. I see that there is a player that scores goals on a very average team with very average support. This guy plays against the top defensive pairing every night. He plays against the top line or top defensive line every night. Yet he still scores goals. So what's the down side? He must be another small forward. No. Ok then he must be a poor skater .No. Ok then he must not go to the tough areas. No. Then he must not have much of a shot .No he was voted the best shot in the OHL. Do the Habs not need someone

Barlow is a good prospect and has a good shot, it's just one person that doesn't like him, just ignore him mostly, He's not an option at 5, but he is an option after 9.
