The puck doesn’t seem to spend much time in his end when he’s on the ice.
This seems to be a philosophical state of mind that Hab management agrees with.

People are pencilling in Mailloux as some offensive saviour for this team and he’s not half the player at 19 that Dragicevic is today.

Bold statement. I would have to watch more from the scandinavian dragon, but the little I saw he looked quite lost defensively. Mailloux doesnt have the greatest IQ, but still is pretty decent at defending.

I don’t think either is a defensive stalwart but I believe Drag’s “poor” game on that end is exaggerated. I also peg him to be a difference maker and possible game breaker offensively while Mailloux is just good.

Will Smith (#2 blue), Gabe Perreault (#4 blue/1A), Ryan Leonard (#9 blue), Oliver Moore (#11 blue). Moore was impressive again, Smith as well but things just didn't work for him.

Hows Brayden Yager doing on the faceoff somebody? Cant find it on the internet…
I was thinking maybe put Yager on the faceoff and switch with Dach after , if Dach can’t improve by the time Yager is ready

Matthews, Crosby, Mcdavid, Kane etc in their 17 year old WJC (draft minus 1) were all around 1 PPG more or less . Some a bit better
Fantilli is right there also. What Bedard is doing is absurd and shouldn’t diminish Fantilli being a PPG in the WJC so far. He’s a great prospect!

Second round would be my guess, probably early too, as he's sadly not a well guarded secret anymore. He might have the best tools of the entire OHL dmen crop in the draft, his skating alone is plus plus. Super raw too, lots to develop and work with. Brock Otten is very high on him FWIW.

I suggested earlier, we should take him early 2nd if we want him. He could sneak into late 1st. He's a really good player, and has jumped into the #1 D spot in Barrie with Brandt Clarke hanging out in LA with the Kings. IMO, he's already a better D than Clarke.
He's an impact player every time he steps on the ice at both ends, and his skating is outstanding.

I don’t think he looks as slow as people say. He looked fine in the 3 on 3 OT. He’s obviously not a burner though.

My issues with him during league play this year is a lack of creativity, puck handling and rushing skills.. thought maybe he's timid against men, playing a more simple game.. so wanted to see him against his own age group.
I just think he isn't very creative and he does not have good puck handles. His puck protection is good, he can sink low and keep and protect but he's really not exploiting or setting any defenders up.
I'm definitely dropping him in my rankings and don't think I can keep him above Cristall at this point.

I see your point. He does seem to only have 2C upside rather than 1C, and in the Top 10 of this draft, you should get a 1st liner.
