I'd probably go Cristall and Reinbacher. Or Cristall and Barlow. Or Gulyayev and Reinbacher.
Just put 4 names in a hat and pick 2, the D combo would be very interesting

I saw Yager dropping in some of these list. Is it because others are leapfrogging him or it's because of his play ? I only watch him at the last Hlinka and he was pretty electric with a sick release. I though for sure he was a top-10 lock.A top 50 from The Hockey News:

Great shooter. He seems absolutely clueless defensively as a center though. I don't think it's a lack of work ethic. He just can't process/play the position to the fullest extent that is required.
I don't see him as a center at next level at all. Last year, he played LW and it suited him extremely well. He has terrific speed off the wing, isn't afraid to attack the net & has a great release with tremendous velocity & accuracy on his shots. Ok playmaker, but primarily shoot first player, which is fine. A Yager - Slafkovsky pairing would be pretty sick.
I don't see him dropping to late 1st. That seems a little harsh.
This summer I was reading some scouting comments on him and a lot of them were questioning his IQ.

I doubt I would take Wood at 10th OA due to his lack of speed but that shot is legit.

The way I see it is there’s the Big 4, who are in the Top-5 of everyone’s list and then it’s a real free for all. People have extremely different even contradictory evaluations about the others. Some still love Yager, some have a low opinion of him.

This is a case of a player not taking as big of a step as anticipated and people are dropping him for it and becoming enamored more with people off the radar putting themselves on the radar.
I agree with the above that he's more likely a winger at the NHL level.. which is perfectly fine, but there's a world where he improves down the middle and can play a center style similar to MacKinnon or Carter, which is a shoot first style.

Wood skates like Gallagher used to skate a few years ago, no straight line speed but pretty good stop and go and edge control.
The rest of his skills are elite. Florida, maybe.

He's played at center because he doesn't have much to learn on the wing. Skill extension, I suspect as they see his stock drop, they might do some management there (agents).

I don't mind this critique. I like Barlow, I just think he's more advanced than other prospects and I project more growth from them.
Good catch, he's an '05 but guess the cut off got me. Good prospect for 2024.

If we have a pick around 7th or 8th it's going to be very tempting to try to trade up to #4 if Michkov is sitting there available. If the team holding that pick isn't convinced they want to take him the opportunity could be there and we'll have plenty of ammo.
