I'm just curious, is there a reason why everyone seems to be so high on Reinbacher, or is it basically because he's the best RHD ranked in the draft and Canucks blueline is just awful?

he's got a similar trajectory to seider. played in a men's league at a young age and didn't look terrible

seider was a gamble that worked out. don't think that means reinbacher will work out but nhl teams might see it differently

I know I said it already, but trade the first to get off of OEL and do whatever to get off of Myers. Draft and develop really f***ing well from now on and make smart signings from ufa. It’s time to win now so let’s shed all the deadweight and start trying to win.

No franchise type players will be available where we pick. Any player will take at least 3 years to develop and become a regular in the lineup if he doesn't bust. By then Demko is likely gone and replaced by Silovs. Pettersson might even be gone next summer via offersheet by a team like Detroit because we can't afford him.

Not as discussed here but Colby Barlow seems to be climbing the draft rankings late as well. There seems to be a hype train rolling full steam for him within the OBC/hockey community. I wouldnt be surprised if he ends up pulling McTavish/Gauthier level climb with a strong playoff performance, whether or not he can play C

I would love to get Barlow. He's a goal scorer has decent speed and size for his age.

I think everyone would move the 1st to dump OEL, but the NMC likely makes that difficult.

Heidt, Moore, Leonard, Simashev, Dragivevic, Yager, Dvorsky, Danielson, and Sale. Ranked in that order.
I would trade down from the 9-11th spot to the mid to late teens, hoping to recoup a couple 2nds in the process. Unless Reinbacher, Moore or Michkov are still available. There isn't much drop off after the top 8 to late teens.

I know moving down isn't popular, but I don't have a favorite from the 10-20 groupings, but I see several interesting prospects in the 2nd round that might provide great value.

I think Sale has star potential. He's going to be a good one. If we do drop out of the top 9, Sale or Heidt would be my pick. I'm a big fan of Heidt's playmaking. Both guys have big time potential, and I fail to see why they are not getting more hype.

Heidt is out scoring Yager who will go top 15, and he has the same amount of points as Savoie who was the #9 pick last season.

Early thoughts

The Good- Crystall has very good hands, Makes lots of smart plays.
Good hockey sense, Clearly has NHL vision, multiple good reads.
Makes lots of good plays in traffic, has a knack at slowing and starting to find better lanes for passing.

The bad - Skating is pretty rough, Weak first step, not a lot of acceleration, did not see a ton of fast pace either.
Thag being said, he was strong on his skates on a beauty goal, eventually getting taken down.

Ill give more thoughts later

best player of the game has been Samuel Honzek, No clue who he is, but man he has been impressive.

Is he draft eligible?
