Cleveland’s skating scared me more than Perreault’s
There does appear to be some concerns like a lot of dudes with his size/player type but he also ranked 3rd at the combine in the Pro Agility Test to the right side, seems there might be something to build on there

Also like this quote from Muse:

The best word I can use to describe Brady is tough. He’s a crazy tough kid and if you’re ever on the ice when he is, you have to keep your head up. Whether you’ve played against him before or it’s your first shift, you find out pretty quickly who he is because he doesn’t shy away from that physical element. You just don’t see many kids play like he does in today’s game and when you do have someone like Brady, it impacts the entire lineup. But I think the other big thing with Brady is his play in his own end. He’s got a great stick, he kills plays, he can skate and I thought he did a really good job moving pucks up for us. Plus he was someone we trusted a lot on the penalty kill. So with all of those and his physical element, he can add a dynamic that not every team has.” – Dan Muse, NTDP Head Coach

Do you have any thoughts on Quinton Burns, seems to have a similar type of profile, not as big and mean but aggressive and a better skating profile to build off of?

I mean they certainly do a lot worse at 91, but I’m not going to worry about what the board looks like until we got much closer. I might be mixing him up but with Cleveland I remember not liking his edges

Also Ohio sucks, so that’s a major negative for me :)

Haha fair enough

I edited my post so you probably didn’t see it but do you happen to have any insight on Quinton Burns?

He’s fine. Could do worse at 91. Don’t think he’s special but don’t think that he would be a reach there. I think I remember liking him better than Cleveland.

Cleveland plays like a chicken with its head cut off. He's a tough SOB and will probably have a long career as a 6/7D moving team-to-team, but I wouldn't use 91 on him. He's more of a 6th/7th rounder, IMO. If they're gonna D at 91, I'd rather it be for someone like Quinton Burns or Drew Fortescue who are both steady eddies with good size/mobility on the backend. They're boring, but will likely be NHL players down the road. Other people I know like Larry Keenan, but I'm not going to pretend like I've ever watched any prep school hockey. He's going an interesting route from prep > BCHL > NCAA

Those are 2 guys I like as well, would be nice to grab one of them if possible

I can see Cleveland being there in the late rounds. If he is, I can also see us drafting him. Actually, I hope we draft him with 1 of our 6ths.

I know next to nothing about all of these prospects, but please for the love of God don't draft that big oaf Konnor Smith that was on Peterborough with Othmann.

After watching the first 22 selections last night I can see why the draft is such a crap shoot after 5 or so players....if the chance arises to get a young player further along in development with some real potential for 2 or 3 assets such as 1st rd picks you sort of have to do it.

I think I've seen that quote somewhere before. Quinton Burns is also good.

Using Goodrow and our 3rd to move up and get Brindley or Sawchyn would be fine and dandy by me. If Crazy Cleveland is there round 4 or later I'd take a flyer on him. You can't teach a hyper aggressive disposition, but you can tone it DOWN. If he can actually PLAY as a capable 3rd pair D in 3-4 years and brings that element, that's a great thing to have. Trouba, Schneider, Cleveland on different pairs? No one is ever safe. Players will take less chances with their heads down. And I assume at 6'4" with the way he plays, that he has to be able to defend himself...
