Might be a longshot but really hoping Yager slips to us. I'd also be really happy with 1 of Ritchie, Musty, Honzek, Heidt, Sale.
Honzek, if there or gtfo
Also, is this thread gonna stand? @EdJovanovski is blocked by couple Posters, which can't see the GDT
He gives me Steve Fogarty vibesStramel would be the most Sather pick since McIlrath. kill me.
He's bigger than everyone but hasn't dominated. Not a good combo
I like this. Moore and Simashev (from what I'm reading) would be great gets for us.Either trade up for Oliver Moore or Dmitri Simashev. If they stick with 23, then just go for Gracyn Sawchyn or Daniil But.
Outside the first round, Tanner Molendyk is a guy I would love to add to the system.
Cal Ritchie is a typical Rangers target though. This org LOOOOVES guys that were drafted high in the OHL Priority selection.
Othmann, Vierling, Cuylle, McConnell-Barker.
what happened to Sale? He was a top pick, was his past season that bad?
Keep seeing and hearing his name attached to us and I’m already starting to prepare myself for itDont like the Stramel piece from the Athletic at all.
Am I missing this button? don’t see it anywhereThey can go to the bottom right corner of the page and click the "show ignored content" button and will see the thread.
I also linked this thread in the last draft thread before it was locked, so they shall find a way to get here. lol.
Aside from the season opener, this is my favorite day of the hockey year and my job decided tonight would he the perfect night to have training.
Won’t be home till around 11pm and i’ll have to record and watch the draft when i get back. Which also means turning my phone off at 7 so people dont spoil things for me.
Not happy.
The only way I would be somewhat ok with it is if they trade back and either get a late first and a 2nd or 2 early 2nds and use one of the picks on him. I don't think Drury is that smart though, I think he'll just be elated with ceiling of a bottom 6 guy.Dont like the Stramel piece from the Athletic at all.
It's Pronman that keeps saying it, and we all know that he's an absolute moronDont like the Stramel piece from the Athletic at all.
I hear you. I do this with games sometimes and since a lot of my buddies are hockey fanatics, sometimes it gets rough. hahaha. Good luck, buddy!Aside from the season opener, this is my favorite day of the hockey year and my job decided tonight would be the perfect night to have training.

He sounds like Pasta tbh. Obvious comparisonThe problem Šalé is facing is that he was really good in juniors in previous years, but physically needs to mature a bit. He needs to fill out his frame and he made the jump to pro hockey where he probably wasn't physically ready for it. The talent is there. Talent-wise he's easily a top-10 pick. At every age group he was among the best in the world.
His Hlinka-Gretzky appearance was electric. He really put people on notice. He was simply fantastic. But in the Extraliga with Kometa Brno, it just didn't materialise for him. A lack of effort in the games I've seen but that can be contributed to him just being outmuscled so often that he picked his battles instead of draining his body for battles he knew he couldn't win.
He reminds me a bit of Filip Mešár in that regard. At every level he was ahead of his peers that often he played against kids a year or two older. But now the jump isn't just 1-2 years. They go up against 25-year old, fully physically developed opponents. That's a big adjustment.
I don't think Šalé is a bad prospect. But him dropping in rankings makes sense considering the season he's had. The positives still outweigh the negatives for me, by a significant margin too.
Off-ice he is a great guy too. His teammates rave about him. He just needs time to mature. To grow into his frame. This is a guy that, if you draft him, is better off staying in Czechia for 2-3 years rather than being dumped in the AHL for the sake of development.
First round picks seem to drag on. Let's say around 5 min per pick that would be 105-110 mins in, an hour and 45 mins may be a safe bet to make sure you don't miss it.About what time do you guys think our pick will be?

Question is, is this the type of player you win with?
