I like Simashev too but for sure taking a Russian currently in the KHL is a risk. But would be nice to develop a big gritty top pair d-man which we currently don't really have in our system (Stanley ain't it).

Here's what Elite prospects had to say about him.... "He can match opponents footwork with ease in the small-area game, taking away time and space before closing with force"

I agree with taking BPA but hoping it's a dman. We are flush with prospects at wing.

I think it was Snuggerud a couple years ago
 
So a cluster of guys that I would be ok with at #18 not in any particular order Barlow, Benson, Perreault ,Dvorak, Leonard, Wood, Danielson. Most of them aren’t dropping to #18 for sure.
