Coyotes draft is hillarious, 8 players drafted so far and only 1 is under 6'2. Many 6'4 and above.

In a perfect world, you'd pick guys who are big AND talented

In the absence of that, you should pick guys who are small and talented.

At no point should you pick anyone who is NOT talented, whether they're big or small

Teams like Carolina will happily capitalize on other teams being stupid.
WSH cristall too.
But I was talking moreso on the tv commentary. Like most ppl watching have not watched a lick of any of these guys. And these commentators and analysts basically just gush over size

So Dillon couldn't fetch a 2nd or 3rd? Yikes
Ppl are giving away players right now

Yeah Dillon definietely feels a deadline trade where teams are falling over each other to get guys like him with size.

And pretty low risk too as long as he doesn't get hurt, it doesn't seem to matter if these guys have a good or bad season they always pull in decent returns at the deadline.

Well I hope Sotheran is there in the 5th. Can't see the Jets drafting Conmy.

Guessing our US scouts don't have as strong of a voice anymore.

This is kinda depressing. How do the Jets compete with:

Organizations that are top player desintations like LA/NY/FLA

Organizations that are so smart like Colorado/Carolina/Seattle

Organizations that are both of the above like New Jersey and now Chicago

The Jets are basically a normal NHL organization that does things the same way as 20 other teams but have to deal with disadvantages that those other teams don't have.

We generally draft well high taking fallers. Barlow was ranked pretty highly and dropped to us at 18 so we just sort of take advantage there.

Well we got 2 picks coming up here. Absolutely no idea who we are looking at.

Probably not. Team's are literally trading that calibre of player for 6th round picks or for free. It's the time of year where players are worth dirt and picks/cap space are worth the moon.

Then we'll hit the trade deadline and those values will inverse - It's just the way of the NHL.

I went to school with a kid named Mohamed Mohamed Mohamed. I don't think I'll ever see a triple threat like that again in my life.

Could he sing, dance and act?

We get on the clock and they cut to commercial. Figures.

Jacob Julien is the pick.
