Seth Jones is really not that bad. I bet his analytics look better on a better team.

He is at best mediocre and he's going to be 29 next year making 9.5 for the next 7 years. His numbers had already begun dipping in Columbus when they were still competitive

I’d way rather be the Blackhawks than Columbus. Look at the amount of draft picks they have coming up. Gonna take a bit of time but they couldn’t be in a much better position for a great rebuild.
Wrong answer. Columbus has a lot of good young players. A lot more than Chicago. They are older. And even without Bedard they will draft great player this year.

It really sucks that there's 3 great centers this year rather than just the 2. Really wish Columbus dropping to 3 meant they don't get their future 1C
For all we know maybe they go Michkov. Maybe Kekalainen goes for it.

Did not want Chicago, I want that franchise to suck for the next 10 years lol

However, it definitely could be worse. At least it wasn't Washington, Philly, or CBJ.

Columbus has some good young D, and not all that much up front. Chicago has a few solid prospects but a ridiculous amount of picks coming up to surpass Columbus prospect wise pretty quickly in the next couple years.

Weren’t proactive enough to acquire Taylor hall lolol

We already has lottery luck on our sides. We only got Hall to begin with because of a lottery win and then we won another one after he was gone

We should try to trade for the pick. Give them someone who fits in with their culture. Start with McLeod and see if that’s enough.

Although Ottawa might have a better chance if they’re willing to give up Batherson and the rights to Formenton.

Only if they actually take advantage of it. Remember, the oilers should have 10 cups by now with how many high draft picks they've had.
10 is bit much lol.

Their GMs did dumb things. Destructively terrible team building hurts. Terrible management/ownership also contributes.

Playing where lots of players don’t voluntarily want to live doesn’t help either.

I have no feel for how the new Chicago GM will do, the potential range is very wide. He’s a real unknown.

Man, that’s cold. They’ve never had a good center. Can’t they have one for once? Such a Grinch.

Way to give away the pick before it's shown ....another NHL fix job good work Bettman you f***ing clown

Yes the NHL definitely rigs lotteries. That's why massive markets like New Jersey and Edmonton dominated lottery wins including CONNOR f***ING MCDAVID for over a decade...

Chicago tied Columbus in points but had 3 more ROW, so yes lol

Although they did also pick up a loser point against Philly after that win.
