Moore played 16min on average per game, 4th after Smith (17:44), Perreault (17:30) and Leonard (17:15).

I could be mistaken, but he played with Eiserman and Hagens most of the time. Both are gonna be top picks in 2024/2025.
Sure, but that top line clearly got all the favours. Moore was kind of the odd man out of the 4 elite draft year players on that roster.

Other than shoot really well and look 30 years old, what does Barlow do?

Leonard the better skater. The better handler. He's better in the physical and board elements of the game. He's got better passing and playmaking instincts.

I have a follow up question: if Leonard is so much better than Barlow, why is the NHLe basically a wash between them, despite Leonard playing with much higher QoT relative to QoC?

I'm not sure I buy the idea that prospects have to do a lot of things well to be the better prospect. Look at Mesar and Kulich. Mesar is better at a lot of things, but the things he's better at don't amount to much. Kulich is unquestionably better at one thing, actually the same thing that Barlow is better at, and he was and is the better player.

Some prefer Leonard for 'reasons', others Barlow, also for 'reasons'.

It's always like that, posters either pimping their 'chosen one' or trying to belittle those they don't like.

We'll see who's right in a couple years, not that it matters too much in the end.

Who was Oliver Moore linemates this season?
He started the year with Nelson and Vote and around the 1/3 of the season started playing with Eiserman and Hagens, two potential top 3 picks in 24 and 25. His production actually went down with the geniuses vs a guy like Nelson.
For people who want Leonard, why do you think he's better than Barlow?

I have Leonard two spots ahead, its very tough to actually define what and why, thats very true. Barlow shoots better and is an overall better goalscorer, but Leonard should be more than good there and he is slick as hell. Its always been a big question mark to me, I wanted to not like Barlow because WTK made his usual comments about hating a guy he deems to have "lower" ceiling, thats not an euro but Barlows just good man. He can f***ing rip it, hes seemingly huge, play with an edge and you just get the "this guys a player" feeling with him.
Exactly…. Nobody knows… and he’s still ranked equal to Leonard in most rankings and ahead in some …… He’s the fastest skater in the draft , a centre to boot. I’m not saying he should be the pick, but he’s worth discussing.
Leonard is considerably more skilled than Moore.

He is not, Leonard as of now is #7 on Mckenzie’s list with the feeling he could be higher in his final one closer to the draft because teams seems to have him higher on their lists than the ones we see on social medias. Moore is not in his top 12.

Moore could become a good player but it is way more uncertain with him.

Wait.....why would they?so they're giving us thr 8th pick in a great year vs a 17th pick and later in an inferior year

Lottery protected could still be picks 3-7, it means that if the original owner of the pick wins the lottery, they get to keep the pick.

Kulich is better than Mesar at key aspect that translate well to the NHL. Mainly puck protection, shot, physicality.

Leonard is nothing like Mesar other than a great skater. He is mile ahead in physicality and puck protection.

As for Barlow I do believe is overlooked a lot but he is more a passenger than a play driver.

Off the top of my head, SMAHT, Dobber, Elite Prodpects all have Moore ahead. I think McKeen has them back to back…..
