OMG they pulled the goalie down 4 with 5 minutes left? I think I'm in favor of a rule if you intentionally pull the goalie for a reason other than delayed penalty and give up an empty net goal, the game ends immediately.

I hate that CHI got the first OA, but I'm not so sure I agree that they should've lost it as punishment over the sexual assault scandal. People stepped down, the organization was assessed a $2M fine ($1M of that fine is going to fund support and assistance programs for victims of sexual abuse,) and they also had to settle lawsuits on top of the $2M fine.

The Coyotes were caught cheating in a manner that gave us an unfair advantage at the draft. We lost a draft pick for cheating the draft.

Where's CHI's karma though?

I'm happy with the lottery results. I wasn't worried about the Ottawa pick. Thought for sure we were dropping to 7 or 8 though.

There’s a big difference in what Vancouver did and what we did in that Vancouver didn’t piss off 3/4 of the GMs like Chayka did.

Chicago is like…. meh. It’s a big TV market to the league, and hockey gods are simply a bunch of pricks.

The drop off out of the top tier is too harsh for Anaheim to consider anything like that. Fantilli isn't far off Matthews. He will be their finishing jewel.

BA is going to have to go Buffalo mode and just accumulate absurd amounts of assets until it floats the boat.

Supposedly, we have a great scouting staff, must be better than all others, according to BA anyway, so theres that. I hope we get a Keller/Chych combo at 6/12, but we should do better than that because of our great staff

Not pleased that Chicago, after the sex abuse scandal, is allowed to get the showcase player. They should have lost at least their 1st round draft pick for that coverup.

As someone pointed out previously in this thread of complaints, they have paid a price and more importantly what they did had nothing to do with getting an upper hand at the draft, or illegally determining anything about prospects.

True. Still, the optics are terrible for the NHL. Fine a billionaire a couple of million, but don't let it impede the team at all.
