Grubbe had every intention to sign with the Rangers but they simply opted to not offer him an ELC. There was deinifnitely some disappointment in the Grubbe camp, especially after how he came back after that season-ending injury.

Drury is an idiot. I wonder what the reason, too tough and gritty. I dont get this one at all.

What happened? Did they not like his progress?

What's Barbashev's deal as well?

Rangers better sign Barbashev

Weird. Well I guess in a few years we will know if it was the right or wrong decision.

NY kid Quentin Musty is expected to be top 20. Hope he drops to the Rangers pick;

6’2 188 LW

I really like Musty as a Rangers pick

Surprised it took so long, but Pronman’s latest rankings finally went totally off the rails. That guy is such a donut

Musty at 21. Is that the Rangers pick. I hope Musty falls to us. NY kid with size skill physical play power winger. Can replace Kreider down the road.

No offense, but I have no idea where you got that Musty was a power winger from because that’s not his game at all. He’s an incredibly talented playmaker, but this fanbase would turn on him instantly because they wouldn’t be patient enough for him to figure out how to translate his game to the pro level. I think the skating issues are a bit overblown, but he does need more work being consistent in his overall game, and he’s honestly pretty bad defensively right now. He has great stick skills though, so I can see him developing a defensive game similar to Kevin Hayes eventually.

Similarly, Stramel would be a terrible pick. He’s been so overrated all year, and I don’t see much more than a bottom-line role player at the next level. He’s big and can skate well enough, but so can Nick Bjugstad. Look where that got him

Wow that Pronman list is bananas. There's a few here and there where it's like hmm, alright.. but some don't make any sense. Seems he favors size a bit more and if I had to guess put too much stock in the WJC.

He's got Daniil But at NINTH OVERALL in tier 4 as "Top of the lineup player".. but then proceeds to say he doesn't see any high end traits other than his size. All the high end talent he puts in the tiers below and this is the guy he puts in that tier? Honzek at 13 seems a little high but I don't hate it.. just seems there a number of better prospects under him. Sale at 24. Danny Nelson at 32 seems high. The overwhelming majority of his 2nd round are limited players that he'd project could play in a bottom 6 role. He's got Heidt at 59! Zeimmer (65) and Cristall (68) both in the third round! Pinelli (100), Dower Nilsson (106), Perron (107), Whitelaw (112), Sawchyn (116).. maybe some size questions on a few of them there but it's like any skill that didn't land in the first he just threw way later on and used role players as fillers in between. Guys will drop like normal but I'd be really surprised if some of those names go that late

I called it a couple of years ago that this kid will end up wherever Logan Stankoven went and they would subsequently form the dominant Musty Stankoven line.

Lucky Dallas.

Dallas is really entering Tampa/Detroit/Anaheim/Carolina territory in terms of drafting lately.

3: Miro Heiskanen
13: Ty Dellandrea
18: Thomas Harley
18: Lian Bichsel
23: Wyatt Johnston
26: Jake Oettinger
30: Mavrik Bourque
39: Jason Robertson
47: Logan Stankoven
123: Antonio Stranges

Those are some exciting picks

If only nyr kept Greeley. He’s currently their head of scouting.

Dallas has been good for a while with their amateur and pro scouting.

Hintz in the 2nd and Lindell I think in the 4th round were also fantastic picks.

Do any of those kids have a chance to play in the NHL in the not-too-distant future? Are the offensive or stay at home d'men?
Krys has size 6'2" and experience, 3 seasons at Brown w a USHL season after freshman, then wore A when back and C last. Due to transfer (just across town 8^) to Providence, which has legit title hopes, so thats encouraging

Other 2 are both
small '02's with only 1 season of NCAA

I mentioned in the prospect thread I saw a lot of Bookman watching Merrimack/Ollas last season. He is exciting offensively. Skates well and dishes it well. I don't think he's great defensively and he's on the small side but he's an interesting one.

Unless this is wrong it says Luke Krys is under 6'
