OT: 2023 MLB Thread

  • Xenforo Cloud is doing server maintenance Thurdsay 13th at 9 AM GMT. Downtime is to be expected during the process. Server changes were implemented recently to cope with the traffic surge last week. This seems to be affecting the user login, so please anyone experiencing this, log out and clear the browser cache. We expect to have this issue solved once the maintenance is complete.

They split a 4 game series and lost a doubleheader, lol. And the Yankees blew them out in their wins while the Astros have edged out all their wins against them sans one game.

Granted, the Astros are the only team that the Yankees could lose to in the playoffs, but they aren't some juggernaut. The Yankees could and can beat them in the playoffs, especially if they also get home field.

Beautiful that it was in Boston. Reminds me of a game at Shea stadium when Yoshii was pitching for the Mets and was losing 10-0 in the 4th but it was fireworks night so we couldn't leave.

Pat Mahomes and Matt Franco both pitched in the game.. :thumbu:

I was at both games and there was a lot of buildup to piazzas first at bat in game 2. Iremember how quiet Yankee stadium got after Clemens threw the bat at piazza. Everyone was thinking WTF did that really happen?

People played it down. Oh he was tossing the bat to the dugout. Half of heroes in Roosevelt field had a life size cut out of the daily news cover capturing the rage perfectly. Complete joke he wasn’t tossed from the game.
