With his hard hit % and exit velocities it definitely seems like he was unclucky. I don't mind him going down though as even with this his approach was overly aggressive and he needs to cool it.Vientos optioned.
"Obviously, the likes of De La Cruz or McLain aren’t going anywhere, but the Reds could conceivably dangle some minor leaguers who are further away from their MLB debuts in order to land some win-now help."Did you read the article?
try again
I saw that and I and disputed with premise if enuf is on the table, and Reds are not getting gutted on youth, and they add productive vets on not too many years to block their upcoming youth but compete now, and it fits in position of need, then Cincy will consider it."Obviously, the likes of De La Cruz or McLain aren’t going anywhere, but the Reds could conceivably dangle some minor leaguers who are further away from their MLB debuts in order to land some win-now help."
Whole team forgets how to play when Judge isn't in the lineup.Yankees look like poop!
Yankees look like poop!
Ok so do I. De la Cruz is a top 5 prospect. you're not getting him for anything let alone a fat contact, a 30yo injury prone pitcher a 30yo platoon of and a 24yo utility player. And you want a couple of prospects back on top of that!I saw that and I and disputed with premise if enuf is on the table, and Reds are not getting gutted on youth, and they add productive vets on not too many years to block their upcoming youth but compete now, and it fits in position of need, then Cincy will consider it.
I stand by what I said
Canha, Pham, Escobar, Carrasco, and Narvaez should be candidates to be moved. While none of them will return a lot, they could stock the lower end of the system to help for next season. They should be targeting young arms. With his hard hit % and exit velocities it definitely seems like he was unclucky. Feels like he'll be back in a month the way things are going as we may end up being small-scale sellers. Mauricio will be up, too, although they still don't know what they're doing with him as his defense at 2B sucked and the past couple games they've had him in LF.
Agreed on moving these guys. Look for depth pitching prospects. Rebuild the pen and maybe find a lower end starter.Canha, Pham, Escobar, Carrasco, and Narvaez should be candidates to be moved. Mauricio should be given every chance at 2nd, even in the majors. It's also something that has been an organizational issue in the minors. Lots of guys come up and their reputation is that they struggle on defense, but show well once they get to the bigs.
Alonso, McNeil, Nimmo, and Conforto all came up as defense being their issue. All 4 improved drastically in that regard. Even Alvarez has shown he is fantastic behind the plate, and his reputation was he was average.
Are you bringing back Nido?Canha, Pham, Escobar, Carrasco, and Narvaez should be candidates to be moved. While none of them will return a lot, they could stock the lower end of the system to help for next season. They should be targeting young arms.

entire management staff needs to go.The entire shit bagging staff should be fired tomorrow morning.
Stanton Donaldson have to go DJ LeMahieu hast to go… Luis Severino is a minor league Stiff.
Perfect summation of the last few years. I don't watch much anymore either. I watch Judges at bats then change the channel.Entire team has been built around home runs for the last 5+ years. They don't get mistakes against good pitching which is why they can't win in the playoffs. Aaron Boone's "unconventional" lineup structure is stupid as well. Judge basically hits all solo HRs because Boone insists on batting him 2nd.
When they won championships it's because they worked counts, hit situationally, moved runners, and had power up and down the lineup. LeMahieu was a batting champion when he came here, now he's just another .260 hitter. Their training staff is a joke with all the constant soft tissue injuries, and they've lacked a true top of the order forever, which makes all their middle of the order bats less effective.
It's really, really frustrating to watch this style of baseball (hence why I don't as much as I used to), and instead of using Judge and Stanton as the heart of a powerful order, with Rizzo between them or ahead of Judge, the Yankees stupidly insist on batting Judge 2nd as if he's a table setter, they haven't had a leadoff hitter since Brett Gardner was still good, and they just simply don't hit situationally as a team. How many strikeouts/popups with a runner on third and less than two out, and early playoff exits must fans sit through before the org goes back to what's been proven to score runs? George Steinbrenner is surely rolling over in his grave at what the team has become.
I’d argue longer than that.Entire team has been built around home runs for the last 5+ years.
He's an adequate backup catcher, so I'd bring him back up. If they want to find someone like Narvaez again in the off-season then that's cool too. Alvarez should be around 95-100 games behind the plate and another 20-30 games at DH.Are you bringing back Nido?
The Mets are also built around home runs, not hitting them but giving them up.
