I put those two in those spots as a "first call up" situation.Except Mazur as 13 F and AlJo as 7 D, remember the "meaningful minutes" is the new "tie goes to the veteran"

He would certainly be deserving of one given his play during the regular season where he ate big minutes and suppressed chances to an elite degree. He’s shown strong defensive growth over the last few seasons and is one of the top centers available on the market for that reason.
Toughness is a must to have when your team is skilled enough. DRW severely lack skill now and that should be a top priority.I don't watch many Red Wings games, mostly prospects, don't know much about NHL players from another teams. What I know is RW lost a lot of physicality toughness and hard work after training away Bertuzzi and SUNY. It's probably our biggest need to improve this of season
Would you guys ever do this?
To Detroit:
11th pick
Brock Boeser
To Vancouver:
17th pick
43rd pick
Detroit moves up in a deep draft at a small cost of a second round pick and takes a flyer on Boeser to help replenish the scoring that was traded away in Bert and Vrana.
Canucks shed cap space, gain a second round pick, and can probably find a solid D or C at 17.
Thoughts?
If we could get say a Leonard/Dvorsky/Rein at 9 and say Wood at 11? I jump at that every time. If Benson/Perrault/Moore go early that's feasible.I'm interested but would probably only pull the trigger during the draft if I liked my options.
I say no to AAlooks like AA going to be available. have him with Veleno and Berggren
Pretty good bud. I'd move the lines around but I like the players. Like Compher over O'Rielly just cause of age. Wouldn't hate getting both because they have the money and the depth for a playoff run would be big for the Red Wings. In that specific case Suter/Zadina don't really fit but you can figure that out before preseason really.Arizona is done, time to go after Keller. I think he doesn't want to stay on a team that has no future and who knows how long Arizona can pay his salaries. Profits might be quite slim after this season, let alone after next season.

Sundqvist, Bertuzzi
Compher and barbashev are the 2 FA forwards I like. Both solid top 9 players that play hard and add some more grit but still have the skill to produce at a solid level as well
Staal, Namestnikov
I think it's time to start looking ahead at what we should be trying to add this summer.
Here is a link to the impending 2023 UFA's: 2023 NHL Free Agents Tracker
I think we have a few needs we should be looking to address:
1) Goal Scoring - need to add more talent up front
2) #2 Goalie - Pretty inconsistent play from both Hellberg & Ned
3) Bottom pair/Depth RD - Lindstrom/Hagg/Oesterle are not good
As far as forwards go... I think Max Domi would be a pretty good replacement for Bertuzzi, if he ends up not re-signing. Can play center or wing. Good possession player. Not a perimeter player. Has 18 goals and 31 assists in 60 games this year and is winning 53.7% in the dot.
J.T. Compher is a pretty good player that can play center/wing and was a teammate of Larkin at Michigan for the 14/15 season. He has 41 pts in 58 games. Would ideally like a better goal scorer, but we also just need upgrades where we can get them.
Will be curious to see if Yzerman pursues Killorn or not... given we could use a guy who is a bigger body and physical. But he will be 34 by next year and he has a good amount of miles on him.
I don't think I would mind Nick Ritchie as a bottom 6 forward signing - he is big, can score, and has more hits than anyone on the Wings team this season.
The backup goalie options are pretty weak... we may have to re-sign one of Ned/Hellberg? Maybe we look at Korpisalo, or Raanta, or Adin Hill?
For defenseman we could look at Hamonic/Schenn, but I really worry about the bottom falling out with those guys. So it would have to be a short term deal for me.
**If there is already a thread like this out there, please feel free to merge this.

I feel like Nick Ritchie leaves a sour taste in the mouths of every fan base he plays in front of though.
If you think we need AA on this roster then you should probably check yourself into AA.
He does. Mantha-esque disappearing acts with half the talent when he’s on.
Why not as third line player, Berggren could make him again 30 goal scorer
And if Detroit is choosing to form an identity based on team defense and two-way play, AA is about as contradictory a signing as you could get.Because he’s bad at playing a team game and is allergic to skating anywhere near his own zone.
AA is a middle 6 scorer on bad teams and always will be. You seldom win with guys like him.
