if you like GOALS, this is the series for you. Should be one of the highest scoring series of round 1 is my guess. We should see a 6-5 game in there

I'm excited. And I feel like Marchand got all his bad passes out of the way against Montreal. He's all out!
Regarding Marchand…let’s hope so… at times I thought he was playing drunk during that MTL game.

self correction -- I had Detroit, not Buffalo. I did not see Buffalo arriving this year, but they got me hooked. A team to reckon with in the future.

Please post that money will start falling from the sky . . .

Panthers get two quick goals in the 1st Period of Game 1 to go up 2-0...

And then lose the series 0-4 after the B's come back to sweep.

I don’t hang out much on the game day threads ,but it won’t be pretty on here in the first period if this happens.Lol

news alert Presidents trophy means nothing
The trophy in itself means nothing, it does however represent something. How teams do over the course of an 82 game season.

The top 2 or 3 teams overall tend to win the cup with some exceptions, obviously. Those are exceptions. Most times the 2nd or 3rd place teams are only separated from the 1st place team by a hand full of points, not by 22 points.

Seeding, strength of conference, injuries, luck, etc. come into play.

If your life hung in the balance on a horse race, whould you bet on the horse that won 80% of the time over the last 82 races or the one that won 50% to 60% of the time?

No guarantees, but I know what horse I’ll bet on.

I wish this myth would go away. But people who don't understand statistics often compare those 8 wins against the 28 wins each other seed combined has and come to the conclusion it's cursed.
This!

Panthers are quick & physical. Their D isn’t strong but their goaltending is a mystery. Bruins history with no-name goaltenders isn’t exactly encouraging. Tkachuk is an x-factor, kid is a gem.

I think the Bruins are experienced and deep. With Ullmark in goal, one of Lindholm & McAvoy on the ice for almost 45 mins will prove to be too much for the Panthers to handle. I’d guess B’s in 6. This won’t be an easy series imo. The PP will have to shine, and they’ll need some players going balls to the wall… I think Hall will be a factor, he’s skating the best he has since his MVP year in NJ. This time off has done him well.

I think its gonna take 5 or 6 games but we will take the w. Which might not be a bad thing, dont want the team waiting a week for the next round.

Lets go B’s, we got this.

I think Connor Clifton is going to have himself a Boychuk-esque impact on this playoff run. I'm going to be sad to see him go if he prices himself out of Boston in the summer.

BOSTON - The Boston Bruins will commemorate One Boston Day through various initiatives on the 10-year remembrance of the Boston Marathon tragedy.
One Boston Day recognizes the resiliency, generosity and strength demonstrated by the people of Boston and those around the world in response to the events of April 15, 2013. This year, Mayor Michelle Wu and the City of Boston have invited community-based organizations and residents to come together for volunteer events and acts of kindness.
The Bruins will wear commemoratory helmet decals for Game 1 and Game 2 of the 2023 Stanley Cup Playoffs to honor and remember those impacted by the Boston Marathon tragedy.
TD Garden will be lit blue and yellow from April 14 to April 17 in observance of the 10-year remembrance.
Additionally, Player Development Coordinator Adam McQuaid, Boston Bruins Foundation President Bob Sweeney, Mascot Blades and other members of the Bruins staff will travel to local police and fire stations on Saturday, April 15 to distribute custom-made cookies to first responders across Boston, Cambridge, Dorchester and Watertown.
The Boston Bruins Foundation 50/50 Raffle, presented by DraftKings, will benefit the Boston Marathon Survivors Fund in conjunction with the Greg Hill Foundation for Game 1 of the 2023 Stanley Cup Playoffs. Tickets can be purchased at BostonBruins.com/5050.
In addition, the Boston Bruins Foundation is providing registered 501(c)(3) organizations that support Boston Marathon initiatives an opportunity to apply and participate alongside the Round 1 50/50 Raffle. Eligible nonprofit organizations can apply at fanthem.io/give/bbf/content/nonprofits.

I watched the 3 part documentary on it. It was on Netflix (American Man Hunt) and it totally brought me back to those three days. Legit glued to a live internet feed as everything was happening. Literally in another country, as far away as could be and I wanted nothing more than to see each of those pieces of shit suffer more than words can express.

One of them went out as painfully as possible, which was a positive.
