Yeah, always like that, to me it's just fun how the Early mock contrasts with the real draft at times, went to the 2022 mock last week to see something, well, remembered I picked Reid Schaefer in the 4th round back then, a 1st round pick in the real draft. In 2020 I picked Noel Gunler in the 1st round, went 2nd round instead... and so on.

Which is why there is another mock draft every year after the lottery so we have the actual positions.

Like others said, there's an official mock after lottery. The Early Bird is just get people thinking about the draft, and discovering more prospects than the 1st rounders. Plus, it's a fun look back after real draft, and seeing some massive risers & fallers.

Sure he's playing with 16 year old wonder kid Maxim Masse, who is a top 2024 1st round prospect, but this kid can dish it. He brings a pretty sound game too at both ends of the ice. Projects as a potential bottom 6 player. Something along Jake Evans.
