1. Bedard
2. Fantilli
3. Carlsson
4. Michkov

11. Wood
12. Yager
13. Honzek
14. Reinbacher
15. Barlow
16. Moore

21. Sandin-Pelikka
22. Gulyayev
23. Musty
24. Gauthier

-Only players on Canada I would be interested in drafting anywhere around 15th (preferably after) would be Barlow/Cristall,
-If Allen was 6'3 id be a fan, but his all-round style is not great for his 5'11 frame...
-Price wasn't as consistent as I would want but wouldn't be a bad pick in the second (Though I think better players will likely be available still).
-Gibson was a solid shut down D as well. I'd use a 5th round pick or later on him (I doubt he will make it that far)

-If Sandin-Pelikka was 6'2 he'd be a debate for a top 5 pick. He is so smooth/aware/composed/smart. Easily the best defenseman in the tournament for me.

-Pekarcik on Slovakia has as unreal motor, great skating and solid hands. Already 6'2 while over 180 and one of the youngest in the draft (sept 12 birthday). I would love to draft this kid.

I think we will be interested in Wood as well. My fear its at 7/8.

I like Geekie more, I'm not even a big Geekie fan, I can appreciate the upside he has. I do not like Wood in the top20.

Sandin-pelikka reminds me of Lidstrom this tourny. Just Mr Perfect on the ice. He obviously won't reach a Lidstrom level, but it's just insane how poised he is.

Wahlberg would be a nice 3rd round pick too. I always find myself liking his game this tournament too... He's also a very young player for the draft and already pretty big

Ok. I really MUST find some way to move Leonard up the list…wow.
Such a good draft. I think i will be dropping Barlow. Moving Leonard into Top 10. Smith on skill probably deserves to be in my top 6-7. If we get 2 names in my top 10. Hard not to be excited.

So we draft 6,7 or eight. Do you guys think any player we select there will be better than Cooley?

Yeah, I'd have to say that probably Bedard/Fantilli and possibly Carlsson go before Cooley, but then Cooley would be the pick before Smith/Benson and the rest of the gang.

I’d say Cooley goes about 3rd. But the kid we pick 6th-8th should be closer to Cooley than to Guenther, in terms of overall value. Meanwhile the kid we pick 12th (please, please, please no Ottawa lottery wins) ought to be pretty darn close to Guenther in value.

Our top five prospects after this draft will most likely be (barring any AZ or OTT lotto wins):

1. Cooley
2. AZ ‘23 1st
3. Guenther
4. OTT ‘23 1st
5. Geekie

I don't think so. I think Cooley would go Top 3-5 in this draft.
No trying to be a smart ass, but why would Cooley go # 3 this draft, which is suppose to be much better than last draft where he went #3? Anyway, I hope the player we get from out first pick will be Keller good or better. I hope the same for Cooley.

Because we have 1 additional year of knowing what Cooley does and he'd be considered #1 last year w/Jiricek if a re-draft was done today, which brings him into the conversation for #3 overall this draft having another year to see the player he will become.

Do you want me to ignore the season of development Cooley just had? Cause if that is the request (which I misunderstood as we do have the benefit of hindsight in terms of a year of development in Cooley) then Cooley goes likely at #4-5 depending on whether teams are willing to include Mitchkov in their top 5.

I'm not planning on watching the lottery. Too stressful. I think I'll play in traffic instead. But if you were going to watch, this is for you.
