I’ve got Danielson ahead of every kid in that last category.

Yes, let's just take the 'guess' work out of the whole thing by winning the lottery.

I'm so torn if we end up 6th thru 8th with Bedard/Fantilli/Michkov/Carlsson/Smith off the board...not sure who I'd take. I keep vacillating between Benson/Leonard/Dvorsky/Danielson. At least I've narrowed it down to 4 haha!

As long as we dont drop we are in great shape. especially if someone above us goes off the board with a D .

I just hope we dont pull a smartest guy in the room thing and go for someone rated 13th at 6 etc..I doubt that will happen with the group we have in place , but ghosts of Christmas past continue to haunt.

Wow this is very difficult. This class is insanely stacked in the top 16

1. Bedard
2. Fantilli
3. Michkov
4. Carlsson
5. Benson
6. Smith
7. Barlow
8. Dvorsky
9. Danielson
10. Moore
11. Yager
12. Honzek
13. Leonard
14. Sale
15. Reinbacher
16. Wood

Honorable Mentions:
Sandin-Pelikka
But
Musty
Dragicevic

Barlow is just too impressive to me. I had to take a step back and put together his season last year and this one to paint the full picture, but he should have never dropped out of my top 8. I don't see how he doesn't have the same upside as Slafkovsky outside of the injuries. I'm committed to him at 7 lol

I still really like Dvorsky despite a "down" season. Cooley-Dvorsky down the middle is too intriguing to potentially miss on so if we take him at 6 I wont be upset.

I really think Moore is a bit underrated, but then I immediately wonder if Yager is actually the most underrated on lists. My gut says in redrafts of 22+23 draft years most will have him in the top 12, if not top 10, but it always stings when prospects lose momentum their draft year.

Reinbacher is this low simply because this list is my BPA, it has nothing to do with positional need. Part of me really hopes we come out of the draft with him. I wish Sale showed a bit more but when he is on he would be around 8-10 for me. I still feel like everyone, including me has Yager too low.

So many good points here. Remember last summer when we started talking about this? Dvorsky and Yager were in a majority of top 5 lists. How the hell do I have him at #15? Last fall I had Sale at #7, now he's at #17 and I'd love to still get him. I don't recall a draft this stacked, ever. This list was a lot harder to put together than I thought it would be and it still needs tweaking. It'll be a completely different order the deeper I dive into these prospects by June 28.
Just in past week, Danielson and Moore dropped for me as Barlow and Dvorsky are climbing. I also left out 3 of your honorable mentions that deserve to be in there.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Somewhere.

Outside of the top 4 there are 2 guys I desperately want and 1 guy that I really, really want.

1. Otto Stenberg

Everything about Stenberg just screams NHL player to me. There's not a moment in time where he isn't doing something. He's always ready for whatever opportunity he has. He pursues pucks, picks off passes, has an eye for hitting passes, skates well, and has a great shot. He looks like a can't miss prospect. He's been someone I've kept an eye on all season but he's now been the best player for Sweden in two straight International Tournaments. And yes I know ASP has been fantastic. Stenberg I think has made approximately 1.5 mistakes all tournament from what I've seen. He has all the tools to be a prolific two way goalscorer and his floor is super high. I have this feeling that someone is going to draft him mid 1st and everyone is going to go "HUH?" and then 2 years later he'll be winning the Calder.

2. Luka Dragicevic

I keep saying it but I don't see all the things the detractors see. He's been my top D for a while and while ASP is really close to edging him out with a better WJC performance Dragicevic IMO has better projectability and ceiling. He's gonna be the Cale Makar, Lane Hutson of this draft. Book it. His stick work and edge work are good. His acceleration and top speed are average to decent. His hockey IQ can be somewhat inconsistent, sometimes he tries to do too much by himself, other times he makes a play that is too risky- these are all normal things that every young defenseman does. Luka only has a few years of playing as a defenseman under his belt, and switched from forward. But he, by far, has the highest upside of any d-man in this draft. His shot is extremely good both as a wrister and slapshot. His vision is good and his puck handling is good too. He has quick reactions and his size and reach serve him very well both defensively and offensively. Most importantly he's gotten more consistent and better in his weak spots as the season goes on and all of his weaknesses are very coachable things that can be ironed out in a few years.

3. Noah Dower-Nilsson

Kid has serious size and skill. He's more of a playmaker than a shooter but he's seriously improved his shot over the season and is a legitimate goal scoring threat now, he's improved his strength and strides and has a much higher top speed and acceleration now, his edgework is just okay. He's big and not afraid to go to the net and has been a great netfront presence this tournament as well. He isn't physical but he can play with a little bit of an edge and he uses his size really well along the boards. I've been impressed with his defensive game too. It isn't amazing or anything but it's really improved. He looks a lot more engaged. And his point totals? Seriously impressive. He's proven he can score at every level he's played at and points matter.

Šalé with Cooley would be one filthy and skilled top line, add pure sniper and f*** me dude...

The captain has been very impressive. Maybe enough to put him in the top 20. He currently sits #5 in tournament scoring, who would have thought that?
