Problem is it would be two very lucky semis.Back to back Semi's sounds amazing to me.lol
And we did have a good period here or there but, like you said, rarely a good game. This has been about as much fun to watch as the U18 last month.lol
Yes Kari brought bronze last year. But in retrospective if you look back and look especially on how we played against "big" nations under him so far, its horrible.
Just think last WCH, outplayed by Sweden and by Finns in group, (we didnt even scored in that one), USA we won 1:0, but objectively US was better in that match. Then the complete blowout from Canada in semis, and 8:4 win over US, but we were playing badly half the match there and US had only four healthy Ds. But yeah it can be taken as a good match. But still one good match out of five.
Then in EHT I wrote earlier, outshoted in most of games, thrashed like three times, besides one 5:2 over finns all our W was by one goal or in PP, and in only 2 out of 12 matches we managed to score more then three goals. So also not a very good results throughout season.
And of course this year so far, with Swiss we only played first period and its still "only" Switzerland. And with Canada again one decent period and two completely embarassing, where we looked like Slovenia was playing against them.
So in two years we only managed to win 2 out of 7 tough games at WCH under Kari, and played good only in one of those games. Plus of course premier losses to Austria and Latvia. We never lost to underdog at back to back WCH before. And most of our games since last two years are ugly and terrible to watch.
So really nothing going in favor for Kari, and unless we win gold after three amazing games from our side, there is absolutely nothing, that will convince me he is the right person for Czech hockey and that he should stay.
