''I want to learn French!. It's one of my goals... Not just because I'm going to play in Montreal.. But also for my family! I'm working on it in class and also with my friend Gabe Perreault. I'm learning basic French and some local Quebec slang as well! My goal is to be able to do basic interviews in French when I join the Canadiens!''

Mets-en Fowler!

Next season in Laval, then Montambeault’s backup, then the starter in ‘27-‘28. Book it!

Heard Pierre McGuire on 690 sometime last week say that Fowler could arguably be the best goaltender currently outside of the NHL. Even if some or many won't agree with Pierre I still like hearing stuff like this about a Habs prospect.

Askarov and Cossa are showing good things as well.

So is Trey Augustine with Michigan.

There are a lot more that are showing extremely well too, so it's still premature to say that Fowler is the best goalie outside the NHL right now in my opinion.

But Fowler is absolutely showing incredibly well in the NCAA. Better than Dobes and Primeau ever did, and I thought both of those were great at that level.

Most notable to me though has been how Fowler's improved on his rebound control over last year.

To better illustrate what I mean, last year I feel like Fowler relied a bit more heavily on his quickness and sheer athleticism for second-chance stops whereas this year I feel that he's a bit more "in control".

I feel that Fowler has slightly improved/tweaked his reads of the puck, that he often is more "square" to the shots he receives in net, which means more shots hit him in areas that are easier for him to stop pucks in and corral rebounds.

St Cloud St broadcast crew commented in his ability to absorb pucks and not give up rebounds. Many NHL goaltenders can't do that.
