Well... I guess class begins now. It has been said before Parkkila has input on these moves.

Love Prosvetov. He’s an athlete and has great size. Also a wild man on the ice. I personally think he’s got legit NHL ability and can be a longer term solution.

Man, we open the year with a three-game west coast road trip. Come home for two games and then head right out to the east coast to close out the month with a three-game trip. Boys are going to hit the elite mileage tier early this season.

I would think their AHL team would be good, but maybe not since they need all those guys at the NHL level.
Or bring Malinski/Hunt back up. Just don't go on the road with 6D

Really like this move from the Avs. He fits into the profile of goalies the Avs like and currently fit into their defensive play. Prosvetov has the mobility, agility, and size combination the team will love. Shows he can be patient on his edges and has decent structure. He's done well toning down his play and playing within the crease rather than being an unmitigated scrambling mess. The Yotes did a good job getting him to take a jump last year, Parkkila should be able to get him ready to be the 2G here. Potentially for awhile too.

If the FO showed the consistent ability to fill holes at the TDL I’d be less worried. Because adding a depth dman isn’t hard to do there, but… we never fill holes at the TDL.

Yeah, I like Prosvetov as a potential long-term move. Maybe it doesn't work out but it's the right kind of guy to try.
