I bring balance to the forceI wasn't sure if Byram was being overrated or underrated and after reading this thread I can see that yes.
That's Hench. He's been suspiciously absent the last few days...You only post when the window is closed.
He was already back at LD with JJ.I don't think people should get too down on Byram until either:
1. he gets more time at RD. Hopefully he will figure it out but he might never will also. Some people are able to get used to it but some others are not. I'm a RD and I hated having to play the left side and could never get better at it.
2. he is back to LD and we can see if he is back to his old self or even take a step forward.
Well I wrote that post before the game but yeah you are right. Bednar finally put him back on the left side.He was already back at LD with JJ.
He has been fine, and I wouldn't say he's "demoted" because of poor play. He just fits better when he can be the guy doing stuff in the 3rd line. We saw it already in the last two games, he created plenty.5 games in and Drouin is demoted. Like I said.
Where are all the guys saying he was a lock for 50 points?
Forecheck with Lehkonen and Nichushkin is pure nightmare, ask LetangLegit question...why is Bednar all of sudden this year trying to keep Lehkonen and Nichushkin together? There's only one puck on the ice at a time, you only need one straight, cold, dead puck hunter per line. There's not enough pucks for both of them to go chasing at the same time.
hahahaha trueThat's Hench. He's been suspiciously absent the last few days...

I like those lines a lot better than overloading MacK-Rants. Wondering if swapping Tatar and Lehkonen might end up becoming a thing in order to have a hard working defensive player per line.

I understand that the Avalanche kicked the tires on Shane Pinto and had significant interest.
That seems to have died down since Tatar was signed + team’s hot start out of the gate.
Curious if we circle back on that if the saga drags on in Ottawa. That’s a nice, big bodied right handed shot that will regularly score 20+ goals IMO. Does all the right things.
He's been invisible. He has been fine,
It's funny with how the lineup is, if we traded for Pinto, we still wouldn't have a real 4C.
He's been invisible.
To be fair, so have Colton and Wood.
Fair assessment. At ES, those two guys haven't done much. That line is not giving up a lot, but aren't producing a lot. Typically what you want to see out of a 4th line, rather than a 3rd.Make Pinto the 4C!
I wouldn't say Wood and Colton have been invisible. For example the PK is 18/19 on kills I think? And they're fairly important contributors on that.
Like to see them get more done offensively but I think they've been alright so far.
