Nice to see johnson, and now many others, saying sanderson is one of the - if not the - best under 22 dman in the league.

Been so much promise of hope and stumbling the past few years, we've become shell shocked and expect the worst. I think this is the year that everything finally comes together and explodes.

Goaltending
Out: Talbot
In: Korpisalo
Talbot played like he didn't want to be here and the experience that he was brought in to deliver was a huge failure. Korpisalo was excellent last year and if he repeats that, this will give something Ottawa hasn't had in years.

Defense:
Out: Holden, Zaitsev
In: Chychrun
Replacing minutes that were once moments to fear for Ottawa fans with a complete reversal of quality is scary for the rest of the league

Top 6:
Out: DeBrincat, Pinto
In: Norris, Tarasenko
DeBrincat is the only quality player Ottawa lost this off season, but this new combination of top 6ers will likely score 20+ more goals and not be negative 5 on 5.

Bottom 6:
Out: Brassard, Gambrell, Kelly, Watson
In: Pinto, Grieg, Kubalik, MacEwen
Another definite upgrade overall. Instead of taking a bathroom break when Gambrell steps on the ice, or having to suffer through watching Watson trying to inspire his team by breaking someone's hand with his face, we'll get to see guys who can actually push the play in our favour.

We also have Stützle, Tkachuk, and Sanderson who are guys most teams would kill to have on their roster. They're not just fantastic at what they do, all 3 of these guys are gamers and I can't wait to see what they'll bring in the playoffs.

This is a really good mix of talent and should peak at the same time together, starting now.

Not sure which thread to put this, but shouldn't there be news about:
  • Andlauer getting the all clear milestone about fully taking ownership of the team (i.e., finalizing the deal)
  • The resolution of the cap situation aka the Pinto affair.
It seems like this should be happening quite soon. Comments?

A good friend of mine had lunch (in Toronto) with Andlauer last week. Confirmed that he does exist. Ownership papers planned to be signed this week. A lot of paper. Fact.

Pinto’s agent is Gross! Fact.

re: bolded ??? A little bizarre response, however, good news about the papers being signed this week. Seemed like this was due to happen and imminent.

Hey guys! I'm a massive Giroux fan, and with the Flyers being the worst, I'm rooting for you guys, so want to gear up properly for the season:

How do people feel about Pinto and Norris? Are they healthy? Ready to go?

What about Greig? Is he in the show for the long haul?
Pinto wasn't hurt but still unsigned, Norris is ready for training camp and Greig has potential to crack the lineup but it's not a guarantee. Having Stützle - Norris - Pinto as the top 3 centres is a luxury we haven't had in ages and these are exciting times here.

Defensively Ottawa should be much better than last year with Chychrun added, but keep your eye on Jake Sanderson. You'll get slightly different opinions amongst Ottawa fans but I think he's the best D on the team and will be a huge part of a successful Sens squad.

Giroux is so good, I love his quiet intensity and he was awesome last year. Hope he keeps it up

The only opinion on Sanderson anyone should have is that he is our #1 D. Anyone saying otherwise has just been hurt so many times from being a long-term sens fan that they simply cannot accept good things.

Funny but with just enough truthful shade

Bandwagon with us until Flyers turn the corner! Fun time to be a Sens fan, and great fanbase even if we don’t have “nation” status

Happy to be along for the ride. Did a Dynasty draft and Stutzle was my first pick (12th overall). Love Chychrun, Giroux, Stutzle, Tank and would love to see Korposalo be a consistent great goalie.

Sens are definitely my team until Flyers get better, so expect me around for 10 years

There is a strong chance the pinto situation becomes a headline, also stops us from icing our best roster this year if pinto misses training camp.

Andlauer should get done this week or next
