NHL officials are the equivalent of school teachers who work 9 months a year, use 10 year old tests, and act like they have the hardest job in the world. Refs are awful. I can’t state how much I hate refs.

i like wes but he's definitely prone to calling games like this where he swallows the whistle then calls something at a highly impactful time for drama's sake

I am a ref in another sport. It is very hard. If you think the refs suck you should get your fat ass out there, stop sitting on the couch every day, put in the work, and replace them. That’s what I did. If you won’t put in the work don’t complain so much. Imo.

I don’t really like to give benefit of the doubt when a ref messes up, but if someone thinks it’s an easy job they are totally crazy. The players get to mess up 100 times a game, they get to go to the bench when they’re tired. Ref don’t get to do either. It’s hard. I’m probably in better shape now than at any point since I was a teenager
