I agree. I'd happily take missing the playoffs if it means getting a competent president, who hires the most qualified GM, who hires the most qualified coach, scouting staff and development team. I know it seems like an impossibility for long-time Kings fans who are used to the South Bay Country Club, but it is possible and we deserve it.

Gives Blake enough time to get home, shower, send Hoven the questions he wants him to ask and then drive to the rink.
I feel like he’s been in hiding. DL seemed like he was out and seen/heard from more often. Brian Burke was always in front of everything, if his team was playing like trash Burke would be out screaming at anything he could just to take the brunt of it and distract from the team.

Talbot's tires are bald, he had about 25-30 good games in him for the year and we have burned through it all by now. The second half of the season could be ugly.

Pretty rough watching Kopitar struggle like that.
If he's hitting that wall this year things are gonna get bad.
Center depth was supposed to be our strength. But Dubois sucks, Kopitar is aging out, Lizotte is injured.

You mean Cam Talbot, a 36 year old on his sixth team in six seasons wasn't going to keep playing like an all-star for the whole season? No way!

This is the other kick in the balls. The team played to well earlier in the year to pick high enough in the draft where you can realistically expect to get a true stud. We are right smack back in the black-hole.
If nothing changes, it's a mid-round pick for "Yank" to poorly evaluate and/or "Nelly" and "Muzz" to poorly develop.
Or even worse, it's traded by a desperate GM trying to make the playoffs to save his job.
