his upcoming cap hit and the need to add quality to the trade is why they traded himYou just don't get it. Vilardi being unable to avoid an unavoidable injury is why they traded him.

I think people overreact on that matter. After 3 games Trevor Moore went from bad contract to best contract in the league
lets see he had 48 pts in 81 games in 21-22, and 29 points in 59 games last season which nets out to about 40 points in a 82 games... so about 15-20% falloff. I hope it was the injury last season and not some theme that he disappears for long stretches.I think people overreact on that matter.
Moore was already pointless or close to, in the 8-10 games BEFORE he signed that contract. I still remember that because it stood out to me.
Than he got concussed the year after and yes he did not play that well but pointwise it was not even that worse compared with the year before.
He missed 23 games.
Moore has a good contract. When healthy, he is a great contributor and has shown excellent chemistry with Danault and Arvy. If Kaliyev can keep this level of play up, losing Arvy won't be that big of a deal. That would free up some necessary cap space.I think people overreact on that matter.

Same happened in his 6 game stretch two years ago. He clearly touched and moved the puck forward in his last game. They took his assist away? That’s just wrong, man.
Maybe Blake ought to start a thrift store chain.. he seems good at painting himself into a corner then dumpster divingTalbot 1M
Lewis .775M
Englund 1M
Blake's trifecta of ∼1M signings looked like pretty good value in this game. We'll see it how it goes as the season continues.

I know you love these things, so...
Laf needs a goal. He keeps playing with confidence. Kid is legit.

Only thing is, we dont have top guys like McDavid and MacKinnon.. we dont have anyone in the top 50. Avs have Mac, Rant, Makar top 10 scorers in the league. We spend our top guy money on Kopi and DD.Then your top guys are the rug that ties the room together. Then there's the McDavid and MacKinnon types, who are just superior to even elite players. A different kind of talented. You're at their mercy, and are only beating them when your top guys and role players are all on the same page at the same time.

Dude your higher than giraffe p***y some one grab his ankles and pull him downTHIS TEAM!!!!!!
Y'all watch that sh*t last night??? Let's goooooooooooo
Laferriere looks unbelievable - only a matter of time before the points start to come. Kid is so impressive and that really applies to all facets of his game.
Also.... Is Trevor Moore the best player in the NHL?? I think he might be.
Also goaltending problems WHO?!?!?! Talbot is a WALL lol
Thank you. Yes, I'm smarter than using bad evidence to justify a trade. Would we also say "well, this is why we traded Vilardi" if he got injured in a car accident, too? If he was hit in the face with a puck shot from Arthur Kaliyev? You’re smarter than this.
That strategy didnt work too well in game 1.. prayer about only hopeSo you pray that your elite shutdown guys minimize the damage they do while your elite depth runs over the avs depth.
Brother I'm peaking - But also it was a good game and my post was intentionally over the top.Dude your higher than giraffe p***y some one grab his ankles and pull him down

I got you. My lament is that we dont have that kind of talent and that its tied up w DD and Kopi.. I agree with your assessment - we can still win even without that talent.. just wont be as exciting. No it didn't work i agree
I'm just saying you can't just 'be better' than McDavid
You have to use your best system and personnel to minimize his damage and loosen up your other personnel to outplay the others. If lines 2-4 can win, and 1-1 can stalemate or narrowly lose, you likely win
This Kings team isn't built to run over McDavid and Mackinnon, it's built for Danault, PLD, or Kopitar to run over RNH/McLeod, Johansen/Colton.
