Why is everyone talking about Melrose like he’s already dead? Jesus.
Agreed is cringy.. can you imagine being him watching hockey w his family and these people giving him a eulogy? weird shit

Also, 2nd overall pick on pace for under 17 minutes. Him and Laferriere 7th and 6th in ice-time among Kings' forwards.

Bjornfot with less ice time than MacDermid.

I wanted that pairing to be < 4 min in this game. 2 7Ds one on their wrong side is a recipe for disaster.

Doughty is old guys, turns 34 in a couple of weeks, beein in the NHL since he ws 18. Old with a ton of mileage both in career games and career TOI, also I'm not sure he won the genetics lottery. He probably won't finish up like Pronger, Lidstrom, Chelios and Niedermayer.

The Kings need to limit his icetime and put him in situations where he can thrive, playing 33 minutes and just automatically being pencilled into the PP1 is to much to ask for now.

His saving grace is going to be that he never thrived on athletic ability.

He looks rough tonight, but it’s mainly reads that are hurting him, and he has shown time & again that he is capable of making the right ones.

Yea then why they continue to build around him and have Clarke in the AHL makes no sense.

And the Kings actually have guys ready to fill some of those PP and offensive zone minutes, they just need a coach willing to use them
