Yeah the way he turned the corner there was something new even for him, nice to see

Can't wait to see how Kopitar and Doughty feel halfway thru this season having played 82 games worth of icetime already

Doughty gets paid $11M and this is what the problem is. He can’t win matchups against elite players.

They need to trade Roy for a goaltender, let Doughty focus more on defense and let Clark get PP shifts, offensive zone starts and time with offensive players. The Kings have a lot of skill up front, they are lacking skill on the back end, especially defenseman capable of being effective PP players.

Doughty is still elite defensively, he is no longer even good offensively, he is above average.

He is jumping, but that coverage on Mack’s goal was soft at best.

There were a few errors beforehand, but he certainly was lacking on that effort. Hopefully he can channel that jump he is showing into some sharper reads, really build on a good season.

The guy is criminally under rated on this board.

Thought Doughty was looking rough in preseason but figured games starting would focus him

Awful start, he's gotta get his head in the game or it's gonna be a long season

Needs to swallow the ego again

think there's a bit of recency bias since he kinda sucked coming back from that concussion
 
Laf and Byfield looked good, though it’s time for Byfield to do more than that.

Talbot looks like the bad version of Cloutier. Could probably win a break dance battle though.

I think Drew needs less of his head in the game, he does so much indecisive mulling while expecting his cleverness is gonna bail him out.
