I was thinking about this today, he's been here so damn long, where was everyone in their life when Kopitar debuted with the Kings vs. now? Some people grew from being kids to adulthood, some became middle aged to seniors, some went from drunk college kids to sailing past 40.

Still remember that first game vs. Anaheim and knew right away that he was going to be our Fedorov, Modano, Forsberg that I was always jealous the Kings never had. I was living in NYC just out of college, working insane hours doing something I hated. Since then lived in 4 different states, 5 different cities, 4 different jobs, had a kid, got married, got divorced, now semi-retired. For me Kopitar on this team was basically a constant in my entire adult life.
