Killorn - Carlsson - Terry
Zegras - McTavish - Strome
Vatrano - Henrique - Silf
Johnston/Jones - Carrick - Leason
Killorn played a little right side on occasions with tampa when the lines went in the blender. But majority of his time with Stamkos was left wingKillorn/Z- Carlsson - Killorn/Z
Vatrano - MacT - Terry
Rico - Strome - Silf
Same 4th.
Not sure Killorn or Z can play the right side though. I think Carlsson and Z’s game compliment each other and I think MacT and Terrys can as well. Carlsson and Z play a very fluid give and go style. I think Mac can adjust to having two primary shooters on his line.
I mean is this maybe why he wasn't moving his feet enough, coach?
Would appear so looking at the practice lines from today. I’m imagine until Zegras is back he’d only be sitting back to backsI know about the plan with Leo but he HAS to suit up against San Jose right? Let the boy feast
They don’t provide any offense, but the Vaak-Gudas pairing is limiting offense against us.
I agree. But that being said, Vaks has been a nice surprise in terms of being pretty solid and staying healthy for now.Pettersen - EK being on this list, as well as the relative paucity of top pairings, makes it far more about matchups and forwards they’re paired with than their actual defensive acumen.
Absolutely. He looked good prior to the preseason injury last tear, it’s good to see him healthy and succeeding again.I agree. But that being said, Vaks has been a nice surprise in terms of being pretty solid and staying healthy for now.
The question becomes, who’s the odd d out? Do we trade him or lacombe + for some top 6 help later on?Absolutely. He looked good prior to the preseason injury last tear, it’s good to see him healthy and succeeding again.
I’d suspect neither, and they wait and see what they have in the system next year. The question becomes, who’s the odd d out? Do we trade him or lacombe + for some top 6 help later on?
Still means they are at worst not a liabilityPettersen - EK being on this list, as well as the relative paucity of top pairings, makes it far more about matchups and forwards they’re paired with than their actual defensive acumen.
Not with their usage, no. I was just pointing out that there are some guys on that list who are the exact opposite of defensively competent, and that this isn’t a metric that’s measuring the skill set of those players as much as their teammates and usage.Still means they are at worst not a liability
I am just happy for vaks. Him healthy and with stats like these mean either another depth d or potential trade value. I am still unsure about vaks in mid and long term given our hopeful bounty coming up. Zell luneau etc.Not with their usage, no. I think Silf has done fine this year for what he is but I do wish we had a better RW than him to put with Rico/Zegras on that 3rd lineI'm very curious to see what Zegs and Rico can do on a 3rd line against other weak forward lines and lower defensive pairings. Zegs feasting on weaker competition could be just what the doctor ordered for him to really become a big producer. I'm not entirely sure that will come while matching up against the other team's best.
