Jeff Marek show talking Philly.

Risto to Leafs talked about because Leafs are looking for RHD and "snarl". That's why the rule out Walker instead.

Also mentioned Seeler.

Philly in the driver's seat with these guys and are in no rush because they have been playing well.

Imagine being a Leafs fan and being given a taste of responsible management, only to get snapped back to the same garbage plaguing them for 50 years.

Hopefully Treliving does value Risto, but what from Toronto is even wanted? Seems like they have the handfull for really good players and crap to fill out the roster and uninspiring prospects.

Once again, it's not a rebuild.

I think there are reasonable conclusions here that are worse than it never being a rebuild.

The other major option is that they wanted to, but they’ve been convinced that the progress thus far is so overwhelming that it’s worth changing course. That’s impressively bleak.

The changeover of what staff members gave you confidence that they finally learned how to run a franchise properly?

It’s been bleak the whole time man.

An extreme likelihood, IMO, and the option that was always readily on the table with how this organization works.

We are doomed. Well, I say we in the sense that if we actually cared anymore we'd be doomed.

It is a completely stunning stroke of luck to not only land someone like MM, but also have him gift you a 3 year window to blow things apart and get the table ready for a group of talent to come up together and have the longest window possible with aligned primes...and the Flyers respond by pouring a piping hot glass of donkey pee, taking a long draught, and refusing to take advantage.

I have had zero hope since 3/1/17.

I’m just saying that on the rainbow of poor organizational decisions, we might be at a lower bar than never tried to rebuild.

Thank you for making me Google both dates. January 3, and March 1.

Only to find nothing of note.

March 1st, 2017 was the Filppula trade acquisition where they valued him as a positive asset.

Ahhh.

You broke before I did. I had a little hope renewed when Comcast went to change the guy overseeing things.

Since that time. It’s been Keith Jones, and as hard of a double down on old school Flyer philosophies as one could imagine.

Hilferty is worse than Scott, and I’ll die on that hill any day. The rot continues from the top.
