So it's almost August and all of the senior advisors still have jobs with this organization....why am I supposed to think anything is going to change with how this team is run? Briere hasn't done anything to show us that he's committed to an actual rebuild even if he's said it.

Remember when we were supposed to see massive changes in the team by the end of the week, weeks ago? I remember.

Yes exactly. They made minor staff moves. Got a shit return for Hayes and bought out TDA to appease their egotistical head coach who won't even be here in 2 years after he blatantly tanked their value by bringing it to the media. Held onto Laughton after being offered a nice package for him. And had a mediocre draft after we were gifted our 1st round pick.

The Provorov trade was good value, but that's it.

The negatives definitely outweigh the positives so far this summer no matter how many times Keith Jones goes on the radio and preaches "culture change"

They cut out the cancerous tumors this summer but they forgot that margin of healthy tissue around the tumors which also needs to be removed to ensure the patient just doesn’t get sick again.

They need to excise and abrade more. However they are waiting to see if Couturier becomes this decade’s Bergeron, and they are 3D-printing Torts’ head to take Kate Smith’s place of prior erection that didn’t quite last 40 years.

Real changes were never going to happen. It was all a lie to trick the dumbest fans and their shared single brain cell, which was obviously successful.

There was no dinosaur purge, they're clearly not rebuilding, they haven't modernized their view of the game, there is no "new era of orange". Same outdated, clueless, nepotistic org.

The only change so far is we finally seem to have gotten a little bit of luck in the draft.

Not to be gross…15 years ago I had advanced prostate cancer, besides removing the prostate, they gutted the prostate cavity .
A bloody mess but 16 weeks to recovery…and I have a PSA that is not measurable still.

I still miss my cat. Sigh……

Beef, the status quo is being moved. In the last four months, the organization has cut Scott and Fletcher while bringing in Hilferty, Briere and Jones. Also, at LV, Mike O'Conell, John Riley and Kjell Samuelsson were let go. Riley Armstrong was made Director of Player Development, Nick Schultz became his assistant and Alun McCauley was elevated to Assistant GM. That seems to be a lot of change and there may be more moves that have been made. Whether these guys work out in their new positions remains to be seen but chances have been/are being made. It sure looks as if the bell has rung on a need to do things differently with player development which is obvious and essential. There probably will be changes made in the scouting department as well that haven't been announced as of yet.

The over thirty guys are pretty temporary except cooter. We'll sell them off at the right time. The next group is tough as when to recoup the most value vs what do they even have. Laughton can be a character veteran but he's not irreplaceable and having sanheim as the lone piece to hang on to does not bode well. Love tk but his return will serve us better than he will
The 25 and under group should be our focus but by the sheer amount of bodies I don't know that there's enough minutes to go around.
We're going to over perform this year and everyone needs to remain committed to the suck and not get caught up in the process. I think sanheim is a good player on a good deal but we'd be ahead of the game if we'd dealt him instead of resigning. Tk needs to not fall into the same trap

Torts is still coach.

That’s not a real change.

Hilferty is no better than Scott, Jones is as bad as Fletcher and is in a bigger role.

Plus hiring a bunch of former Flyers is exactly why they’ve been a dumpster org in the first place.

The cancer always has, and always will be the old boys club, until they're removed, we will continue to be stuck in this same shitty position, and it's sad you hear players that don't even play here, and they know that is a huge problem within the organization

How do you get rid of cancer when the cancer has the scalpel?
