These GMs seem to place value on them.

If that is the logic than why even trade for 2nd rounders. Most never do anything at the NHL level.
I would never hesitate to deal a pick for an established player. First rounders you have to value but the rest are pretty much luck.

Disagree. The team went on another heater after the TDL. I don't have the numbers in front of me but I think they lost once in their last 12 games leading up to the playoffs.
And some of the moves were because of injuries ,if Hall and Foligno weren’t hurt it doubtful they make all the moves ,well not even doubtful,they wouldn’t have because they didn’t have the cap space.
 
I feel safe in saying I will not have to be nice to Donnie Dunderhead after the deadline
It's not hard to figure out no one wants our cap dumps and teams would rather trade with teams who dont need to send cap back....guys like Trenin and Duhaime are available every FA period for free
