Well, on the plus side I was hoping for Lindholm & Chychrun; and they haven't been moved today. I think those are two moves with an eye for the future too. I think Duhaime would have been another guy though that would have fit that mold; could have re-upped him for the fourth line next year.

I'm fine with standing pat. I also think that people expected Gryz and DeBrusk to get dealt weren't being realistic. Nobody is banging down Sweeney's door to acquire them with good offers, and both of their stocks have been much higher than they currently are and Sweeney was never really close to trading them, whether that was because the offers weren't good or he didn't want to deal them.

You're not bringing in a guy like Duhaime to run the powerplay. He's on your team to forecheck, hit, add energy for 10 minutes a night. And he executes that role better than most others tasked to do the same.

I'm sure his save percentage sucks in the playoffs too.

Dunno. Maybe our top 2 centers getting hurt, Ullmark being a head case in the playoffs, and terrible coaching had something to do with it. Our acquisitions were right on the money. With better luck we win the cup last year.

Id take him in Boston if he was decent and could actually play the villain role but I think that was a fluke.
