I'm not sure why people are so surprised that Boston hasn't made any moves yet. We have $57k in cap space. Any move we make needs to basically be equal dollars in and out. What real trading chips do we have on the NHL roster to move out?

DeBrusk - sounds like there's interest, but if you move him how are you replacing him?

Forbort - some people love him here and some hate him. At his cap hit, how much value does he really add to a trade

Ullmark - Signed for 1 more year, but our goaltending has held us together all season. If you're going to have a chance you likely need both Ullmark and Swayman.
 
Shawn Thornton had 0 playoff goals when the Bruins brought him in. It's almost as if he plays a completely different role.
So, one thing happened 13 years ago to a team with different management, a different roster and a different acquisition.

Yeah, he's there to win the Con Smythe and not there to bring physicality. Need him to take some of the offense away from MacKinnon.
