Slight upgrade, at best. Not gonna move the needle significantly, so I really don't see the point in making the swap.

Id have done a Gryz for Edmunson swap. That would be a big time upgrade come playoffs.

They might want to get a goalie and some secondary scoring first.

If Bertuzzi and Domi get hot in the playoffs they may already have it ,and they got better goaltending than Tampa did last year in the playoffs,and let’s face it neither of our goalies have been very good in playoffs so far.

I can see it. Bruins don't have a lot of assets for trades, zero cap space, and it feels like Sweeney has a certain bottom line price for anyone he would move out and is sticking to it (i.e. the JDB offers that have been rumored). How were we going to get Edmundson for example, at that price? Can't fit his salary in only moving draft picks even at 50% retained.

What I am concerned with its the flat out lack of that element on this team. Unload contracts or try to find a guy or two who can bring that element.

Have to unload the contracts. To get anyone first that is the issue

I sell DeBrusk and Gryz. I like Jake but he's too inconsistent to be counted on long-term. We need to replenish some of the future assets we've given up.

With the market being pretty good, I think we should move Ullmark, DeBrusk, and Gryz/Forbort. All the other teams are totally stacked now; unless we can move those guys and use some of the assets to bring in Lindholm, Chychrun, or something else. I'd rather not push all-in with our current hand.

And i honestly don't understand why the NHL has a cap, Toronto, Vegas, Tampa, Colorado all just added more salary. It's crazy.

I think what we see is what we get minute maybe a small depth move. Part of me is livid that there isn't any type of move that helps moving forward. And part of me knows this team ain't winning the cup so what does it matter.
We get 4 playoff games guaranteed and that's better than half of the league. I guess

I think the Bruins can be the top contender next year if they play this deadline and offseason correctly. I see only the narrowest of paths (upsets and a boatload of injuries to other teams) to the cup with the current roster and I don't see the assets on hand to make all of the needed trades now.

It will break my heart, but they have to let go of one of the goalies to shore up the Center and Defense positions.

Yeah, I love Linus…but moving him is the key that opens up everything. It doesn’t make any sense from a professional standpoint to keep him. The only way he stays, is if teams don’t pay up.

Don’t worry about Swayman, the Bruins will pay him.

Move DeBrusk. Move Gryz. These guys aren’t coming back.

Split the baby. Sure up this team a bit, but keep the main focus on the future. Center and a D upgrade has to happen, or funding this season at all is pointless.
