He can't win a faceoff.

He's 6-21 in his 3 NHL games.
Play him at LW with Zacha at center.

You have probably, have seen the kid play more than I have, but to be honest is possible that you might be rushing things a little bit.
Maybe, but even if he's playing wing, I think it's worth a shot. No one else on the roster has stuck with Zacha and Pastrnak.

The numbers are the numbers, I was not trying to deceive you or anyone else, but if you need to call me dishonest to make you feel better, that's ok, I can live with myself, can you say the same.
Please clarify if I am off point...but the way I read this,I am pretty sure you just removed three very real and important years from a players career, took the remaining statistical average and extrapolated those stats over an 11 year career to make DeBrusk look more appealing that he actually is and thus worthy of an overpayment. I am pretty sure this is also how tax fraud works.

What is Monty's issue with Beecher? I think he has been fine centering the 4th line this year...leading the team in FO%, 2nd on the team in hits, 4 goals on the year...

Were almost half way thru the year and he is benching him over Steen and Lauko who have combined for only one goal...
Something we don't know is my guess.

It's a long season. Just giving him a game IMO.. Teams seem to handle rookies that way

I don't think so, his ice time had been going down recently and the scratch seems to be more an end result of some issue. Tough to tell with a team that rolls out Geekie and Grizz on a nightly basis if they want Beecher to be more physical or at least more consistantly physical or if it is another issue.

If Monty has a problem with Beecher move on and replace him with a Trenin or Carrick, players who play a physical, annoying game every night.

Also just my opinion and you could well be right.

Let's stay patient here. There's no need to move Beecher right now. Kid is homegrown, cost controlled, young, and some potential for the role he's pegged for.

Trenin may be listed as a center but I'm pretty sure he plays the majority of the time on the wing. He's got 120 career faceoffs in 260 NHL games while averaging 14 minutes a game. He would be a good upgrade over Steen.

I'd like to see Merk-Zacha-Pasta tonight to see what we have there. The top line LW/C however you want to spin it is a glaring hole we need to address before the deadline comes and passes.

Lindholm or Hertl in reality are the guys we should be targeting.

Same lines as last night except for Lohrei not practicing, I'm assuming he's just at the dentist though. Not sure what Monty was seeing with Beecher that warrants two games off for him, but hopefully the message is sent and received cause I really think not having him in the lineup makes us worse.

Also I personally don't see whatever Monty is seeing with that top line for it to get 5 straight games together, but maybe Monty doesn't want to mess with anything too much while we're on a win streak.

It’s the win streak thing

Also consider the fact that constant line movement was Monty’s downfall last plauoffs

Is he allowed to do that?

Not sure why folks are freaking out about Beecher. For all we know he's a little dinged up and the team feels like they are in a spot where they can give him a few extra days rest to get back to 100%.

When did he say that?

And why would Swayman be fuming?
I heard Montgomery’s comments this morning on Toucher & Hardy when Jaffe was on. Sounds as if Jaffe had previously asked him the question. Montgomery mentioned something along the lines of “learned a lesson last playoffs regarding the goalies, if it worked during the season…..”

Basically he insinuated he’d be sticking to the goalie rotation in the playoffs this time around.

id like to see heinen or lauko get a shot with Zacha/pastrnak
