You know who ended up a good D man?

Lauzon.

He's not though. Tough kid and hits a lot, two things we could use. But the rest of his game is seriously lacking, especially the mental decision making. I see the 4 or 5 Nashville fans on these boards get on his case a lot for doing dumb things, which was kind of what he was doing here as a 23 year old. On a good blueline, he should be riding the bench more than playing.

I dunno. I think that's a misinterpretation - it's a glaring issue, and that is why it comes up often.
It's hilarious that every year it's the same thing and then slugs like Martin, Clutterbuck and Gudas help their team to victory over the Bruins by throwing their weight around. Even Svechnikov dummied Lindholm messing the Bruins chances up that play-offs. It's like fans still don't realize it's entirely a different game when it matters for real and the Bruins have been lacking in that area. Not like they have been tearing it up in the play-offs lately. Fans throw around every excuse for a series loss except for lack of toughness.

Let's be honest, the Bruins left side currently isn't going to be mistaken for the mid 70's Habs defense.

Ok, sure.

I think the on ice product is pretty boring, to be honest. I think they're a good hockey team that has been bailed out by top notch goaltending. It happens, I'm glad we have two solid goaltenders.

The lack of toughness and physicality concerns me. I'm watching a team get bounced around pretty good with next to no push back on what seems to be a nightly basis. I'm watching a goaltender having to clear his crease because defenders simply refuse to. The Bruins ultimately don't have one single physical forward other than Frederic one game out of the month.

Call it dramatic all you want. It's my opinion. Could it be wrong? Absolutely, but from what I'm seeing, It's not.

I don't understand why so many Bruins fans almost seem to resent the fact that our 2 goalies are top notch and steal games. Last I checked they are part of the team.

I see more positive comments from Preds fans than less on here.

Look at who he's fought this year. I think he's tough. He's getting there.

I don’t think it’s as big of a problem as others but I think in some cases physicality and team toughness is a mentality thing rather than a roster construction thing. Look at Toronto with Reaves, just cus you have some tough players doesn’t mean the whole or majority of the team is in the mindset to play that way.

The Bruins have some pretty large players that don’t seem as focused on being overly physical, was similar under Cassidy as well. Remember “We need our guys to be more like pricks”.

They’ve had guys that have been shit stirrers/physical players in lower leagues hit the NHL and it starts to go away like Freddy and Lauko. Maybe there’s too much pressure not to screw up and play smart responsible hockey idk.

He’s a ways away but Kuntar plays with fire, physical and likes to stir shit up in Prov.
Yup, and Hathaway came here as a nasty POS SOB and became a p***ycat in the Spoked B. I'm guessing that your

comment is key here. Let's be the "good guys" and not do anything unseemly...

Wilson as a Bruin I'd just be over the moon. He's the toughness I'd take. He just needs a new team I think. At the cap level in 2 years his contract would be fine with the output he'll have here.

My god he'd become a fan fave.
I was President of the Josh Anderson Club the most comparable guy to Wilson and he’s fallen off the table

The way these guys play destroys their bodies. If they are lucky, they have a few years in them. If they are smart and adaptable, they can go the Foligno/Backes route and dial it back and still play well. If not, they are injured out of the game or become shells of what they were. I know some fans love to see the smashing and grinding all the time, but I 100% get why players don't do that, or pick their spots for it.

What is the thought on Anderson, do you believe he is hurt, I also was one time a big fan of Anderson, especially when he was with Columbus.

No idea but he’s not been good

Wonder if Wilson drops off

His contract seems to long but I’m confident even if he slows down he will still be a dick and please those here

A third line of
Heinen - Geekie- JVR is fine with me abc comes in under 4 M

Those physical power forwards typically fall off a cliff shortly after 30 so look out below.

You are right that is usually what happens with power forwards, but if they retained some, I would not mind taking a shot on Anderson, stay far away from the Wilson contract.

Anderson has 3 years after this at $5.5M and has been awful. Maybe a worse contract than Wilson.

The Wilson train left the station a while back, as much as I loved him in his prime, he’s nowhere near what he was - and will only get worse

That wilson contract is terrible, but I agree with you on Andersons contract, but I would only consider him with some retain from Montreal and I think he would be worth a shot.

Makes me appreciate the O’Reilly’s, Tocchett’s and others who played that style for such a long time, even more.
