This season I'll just update the first post each Monday instead of a copy/paste of a table each time.

As a person who has a massive bias against these offensive mighty mites, Hughes is an anomaly and a Unicorn. For every Hughes, there are tons of kids with a similar profile who don't come close to that level. Don't know much about Hutson, but I can't bring myself to have a .001 chance of a Hughes or more likely a Ghost type of player. Offensively dynamic, defensive liability.
FWIW, here are draft +1 stats (1st year in Hockey East for both):

Makar: 34GP - 5G-16A-21P
Hutson: 39GP - 15G-33A-48P

and

Makar: 41GP - 16G-33A-49P (his 2nd year HE stats!)

Also, Finley looked just like Brock with that breakaway shot.

I remember a group here who wanted Ryan Murphy badly.

I wish Hutson luck, but I am highly skeptical he is no more than another Ghost.
I don't think Hutson is anything like Murphy, who was a puck hogging hot dog. But I don't see the deceptiveness that makes Hughes special either.

Nelson is a tank. Looks huge out there and moves well. Hes really strong on the puck. Getting tough assignments and Pk duties like we anticipated. He was really solid in his role. He also drew a penalty by being strong on the puck and keeping his feet moving.

Finley wasn’t really noticeable but in the pre tournament games he flashed his skills. Excited to see more of these kids

I think he’ll get top 6 minutes next year on Team USA, this year buried on the 4th line.

Both Nelson and Finley will have bigger roles next winter, no doubt (barring injury).

They're here for the ride.

Just incredible firepower on Team USA right now.

Nelson and Finley doing good jobs today. Finley just had a nice short handed chance.

Mister Lamoriello, you sly dog

Nice to see Nelson and Finley trusted late on a Finland 6-on-4 PP at the end. Nelson looks like he would have fit on the Mighty Ducks movies, baby face. Big kid, lanky, skates ok. Finley has got some decent wheels, works hard.

Another nice move by Finley to finish up the first period. Good skills from a 4th liner.

I think many of us got our first real prolongued look at Finley in this tournament and I gotta say, I like what we saw.

He's got a shot. He's real good with the stick. And he can really move. Not just straight-forward speed, but shifty too.

Very excited now about what he can be in 3 years time.
He was terrific in the tournament and definitely ready to play today.

I think he'll be what we thought of Wahlstrom at first.
