Hard to tell who is who with the choppy stream but good skill out there. Goaltending did their job. Need to limit the PP turnovers.

Seems like a decent crowd for a prospect tournament.

Ryan Suzuki is a very good player.
He was the #1 Pick in the 2017 OHL Draft.
He has excellent wheels. I think he's faster than his brother Ryan.
He'd probably would be in the NHL with a lesser team than the 'Canes.
Hopefully he's fully healed from that serious eye injury he had a few years back.

2017 OHL Priority Selection

On April 8, 2017, the OHL conducted the 2017 Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection. The Barrie Colts held the first overall pick in the draft, and selected Ryan Suzuki from the London Jr. Knights of the MHAO. Suzuki was awarded the Jack Ferguson Award, awarded to the top pick in the draft.

robidas goal was nice. he hit a puck out of the air after the goalie stopped a wide angle ponomarev shot.

suzuki had a nice forehand-backhand move to beat the goalie after beating his man to the middle of the ice and bertuzzi digging the puck out the corner after forcing a TO.

Mendel scored short handed off a rebound from his original shot. Robidas' saucer to make that possible showed some really nice touch.

TB has twice as many players born on 2001 or earlier than us. Im pretty sure TB's group is the oldest by average by a good margin. so good showing by our group to battle that older group.

He’s missed so much time since being drafted I’m not sure he’d being the nhl already for anyone.

But it’s positive he got a good number of games in last year after returning from injury. Hoping for a big year from him.

I go to work out, Canes down 2-0. Come back from exercising and it's 3-3. The hockey gods want me to not be a fat f***.

edit: 4-3 shootout win, Murray with the winner
Yeah, but that Gunler SO goal was the beauty of the entire sequence.

While the experts were torn given his sometimes indifferent play, that kid is uber-talented.

vondras has been solid. made a really nice glove save from a point blank shot. he also got away with a goal saving trip at the end of the period. 1-0 canes.
Yeah, I've only been able to watch this game, but I like what I see. He's noticeably gigantic and his movement is still quick and efficient, and his angles seem perfect every time. Made one noticeable mistake trying to play the puck when he should have frozen it, but got bailed out.
