Malek has a legitimate shot to be good. My goalie prospect rankings are:

1) Daws
2) Schmid
3) Malek

4) everyone else (Brennan, Brady, etc.)
How long is current in Finland? Seems like there would be a spot for him in Utica next season.
No other keeper signed or his ass would be here now with the way this team is playing.

We consider Schmid gone.

All that's left here would be Daws and he has yet to play a game this season. There is no telling how he will recover from his surgery.

Brennan came out of camp looking weak. It was no better in Utica. Brennan is having a terrible season in Adirondack. 4GP 3.64 GAA, .898 SV%, 1-2-0
He was recently recalled to Utica to work with the goalie coach, Brian Eklund, and then sent back down.

Kallgren #s are terrible. A lot of bad goals. He seem lost most nights and when he gives up a couple not soo good the flood gates open as they did last night. (8GP 3.91 GAA, .860 SV%, 1/5/2)

Poulter is on an AHL contract and was supposed to be in Adirondack with Brennan backing up Kallgren. Poulter has been playing well, but he is starting to regress and his last game when his team took the night off killed his brilliant numbers by allowing 7 goals a couple of which I would put on him. (9GP 2.62 GAA, .914, 5/2/1)

On the face of it, the young defenders look to be playing OK but I’m guessing that’s a mirage?

No. That's what I'm saying. Kallgren gives up bad goals.

Then Russo, Wotherspoon, and any forward you wish (flip a coin) screw up, the puck turns over, and it's a breakaway, 2 on 0, 2 on 1, 3 on 1 and they score. Other team makes the same gaffes and our forwards can't put the puck in the ocean on the same type of glorious chances. We have to be the worst in the league in conversions on breakaways and 2 on 1s.

The young D make mistakes as you'd expect, but they are not the cause of this disastrous stretch. The D-zone coverage has been horrible.

It's been a joint effortless.

7-0 loss to Springfield Wednesday:
Vikojevic (2 PPGA and 1 ES), Misyl (2 PPGA and 1ES), Dowling (1 PPGA, 1 SHGA, 1ES) - 3GA for each of the.
Wotherspoon, Russo, Nemec, Foote, Parent, Bowers, Engaras, Criscuolo, Stillman, Thompson all on for 2 GA.
Ibragimov and Clarke only on fro 1GA.

That's 15 of 18 guys chipping in on the 7 GA.

6-3 loss to Belleville last night:
Foote on for 5GA - 4 at ES and 1 ENGA after like mere seconds after Kallgren was pulled. A length of the ice shot into the empty net after losing the draw. No one was even close to getting back a little after the draw was lost to defend against an on the ice dump towards their emtpty net.

Parent and Stillman on for 4 GA - 3 ES and the ENGA.

Vilen and Bowers on for 3 GA - All at ES.

Russo, Willman, Dowling, Clarke 2 GA - 2GA. Dowling and Willman both ES. Russo and Clarke 1 ES and 1 ENGA.

Wotherspoon, Vukojevic, and Criscuolo were scratches.

Misyul, Nemec, Durandeau on for 1 ESGA and Schmelzer for the ENGA.

They are an equal negative oppotunity squad. They share in their inep misery. There aren't any saviors coming. They are what they are and turning things back to a level playing ground is up to them. They may not score any better than they have been, but giving up goals in bunches can be dealt with. It's up to a combintion of individual commitment from every player and coaches who demand that accountability. It's only been 16 games but they have slowly dug themselves down to the bottom of the North Division and it's a long hard row left to hoe until April.

Their next 2 games are back to back Saturday at 6 P.M. and Sunday at 12:30 P.M. against the Division leading Cleveland Monsters. That's 2 games about 15 hours apart.

Laval, 1 point behind them, has 2 back to back out in Abbotsford, while Belleville, 1 point ahead of them, hosts Rochester for 2 on the weekend.

I don’t think Brennan is an amazing Blue Chip goalie prospect but his season in the ECHL has barely started.

Is his season terrible? Not if he plays more like he did in the latest two of his first four pro games. He got pulled quickly in his second game and that submarined his numbers pretty badly.

He’s 1 of 3 U21 goalies in the ECHL.

Poulter has been good, who knows how he holds up on this team.

Sadly Kallgren hasn’t played enough to make these yet.

I'm with you on this.

The real problem is that it would take some kind of miracle worker between the pipes to make this team look good. They can play out their asses, but the chances their mates give up make it impossible for them to look good night after night. You can only stand on your head for short spurts and then the law of averages takes over. Take it from me I KNOW HOW that works. That's where Poulter is at the moment. I feel for the kid.

Chase Cheslock is back from injury , was a +1 with 1 shot in Omaha's 6 to 2 loss against the USNDTP.

Shlaine was a -1 with 4 shots and went 17 for 29 in faceoff dot in his North Michigan's loss.

Casey was a +1 with 1 shot in Michigan's 6 to 1 loss vs Notre Dame.

Filmon was a +1 with 3 shots and went 2 for 3 in the faceoff dot in Swift Current's 4 to 3 loss.

Salminen was +1 and went 7 for 13 in faceoff dot in UConn's 2 to 0 win.

Pretty meh night for our prospects.

Bring him home and you bring him home now! The Zohan is ready to unleash his fury on the NHL. But what number for him…hmmm?
His contract will end this season.

He played 15.20 TOI, mostly “fourth line” defensive and pk role. 26 games, 4 goals , 6 points. There were injuries when he didn’t play well after.
He scored 6 goals in 42 games previous season, but he had 12 assist. But his partners were better previous season.

All fun aside, you think he’s ready to compete next year for a bottom 6 role or do you think he may need AHL time?

As I understand he will sign deal where he will have his money in NHL nor in AHL. I dont really think that AHL time will really help him, may be if they will give him more major role. At least he is good center. Anyway they can send him down and call up after injuries, they can use him from the start. May be as 13th forward from the beggining.
If we wouldnt have good depth I would say he is ready, because he is. He is crazy maniac who had million looks like awful injuries and he returned from them even more hard and annoying for opponents. Today he got injured but returned to the ice in the mask. With the depth we have we can give him some time in AHL and some time on trainings, use him in limited role. I believe he will make his mistakes but I hope Devils and him will sign the deal this summer or even this spring.

IF (player) and (related-to DEVILS)
THEN
player-is-injured = TRUE

That’s not how the logic tree works. We’ve been over this but I’ll do it again:

All men have two legs

Nico Hischier has at least some portions of two legs

Therefore all men are part of the Hughes family

When done correctly you can see how it flows seamlessly without the need for additional inputs.
