Sidorov is scoring a lot of goals in the WHL this season. It's hard to believe he didn't make the top 15 in that article.

Wheeler's prospect pool ranking has us at 5. Tiers are 1, 2-3 & 4-15+.

1. Gauthier
2. Zellweger
3. Luneau
4. Gaucher
5. Clara
6. Clang
7. Pastujov
8. Terrance
9. Perreault
10. Colangelo
11. Hinds
12. Myatovic
13. Helleson
14. Nesterenko
15. Tracey

He has left out a lot of good players such as Sidorov, Pitre, Warren, Dionicio, Hvidston, Moore & King.

We're ranked 5th overall while having three prospects graduate to the NHL in Carlsson, Mintyukov, and Dostal, get traded in Thrun, as well as age out with LaCombe (turned 23 in Jan). Last year, Wheeler had us ranked 8th overall. Acquiring Cutter helps us, but we also have a lot of talent developing along with the rest of the 2023 draft class to get us moving up in rankings.

Last year's Ducks prospect list (Wheeler)

I find it odd that Regenda is nowhere to be found.

Somehow it has slipped my mind that Port was traded to Moose Jaw about two weeks ago.

Cutter has burning up in the past two weeks! He is at a 2.00 ppg rate. On the other side of the spectrum is Colangelo getting cold, but his team only played in two games in the past two week.

Callow is a freshman at Harvard and is currently tied for 3rd in team scoring. I didn't see that happening.

- Galimov found some offense as the KHL season is drawing to a close.
- Clara is hot, hot, heat!
- Despite two losses, Buteyets keeping his 0.913 Sv% means his team isn't providing him with enough offense for the win.

Minty and Carlsson providing that offense, but our +/- rating is taking a downturn. Still, Minty might have found himself with a second wind offensively.

It's a quiet bunch for the AHL team. Kudos to Suchanek for trying to keep the team in games, but a lack of goal support gives us losses or a loser point. Regenda and Zellweger have been standouts for the past two weeks.

McLaughlin is apparently too good for the ECHL, but unable to carry that offense to the AHL level. He has done this last year and this year, tear up the ECHL and a dud at the AHL level. Actually, his scoring rate is better this year in the ECHL. Just another reminder that the AHL is a big jump and the NHL an even greater jump in competition level.

San Diego's past 11 game record is 3-6-2-0 (8 pts). They are currently on a 6-game skid 0-5-1-0. No idea what's going on, but I have seen the PK unit giving up a lot of PK goals against in this skid, including tonight's game - giving up 3 goals on 4 PK opportunities.

I watched the rookie games for the first time this year. Pitre stood out….

Hustle/drive. Intangible cogliano like things. Not saying he isnthat player just by eyeball I thought to myself that kid may make it

I agree, he might take a couple more seasons before joining the Ducks, but he looks like a player who ultimately makes it.

Also, when named captain his coach had this to say:

“Coulson is the ultimate competitor on the ice and his play does all the talking,” Flache said. “He is a warrior that leads by example, wears his heart on his sleeve and exemplifies what a Firebird should be. We are in a great position with him leading the group down the stretch run.”
