Imagine if he missed the stick.

This is the key. It's one thing if he took the stick out of the player's hand and then broke it as a display of force, it's another thing that he physically slashed at the player holding the stick with his own stick. He's very lucky he only made contact with the object he intended to hit.

Saginaw is guaranteed a spot in the Memorial Cup as the host, so we will have at least one prospect in the CHL's championship tourny.
I don't know how motivated Dionicio is gonna be for this one though. It's possible he's pissed now:laugh:

Playing for a team that isn't a complete mess is gonna be a nice change for him but apparently he can't wait to turn pro.

Recently mentioned in an interview that he's done with junior hockey and not looking to stay in the OHL as an overager, wants to turn pro, be it in Europe or San Diego. In fact he said he'd love to play for San Diego as early as this season...which isn't gonna happen now thanks to the trade:laugh:

Dude had a bigger punishment than some of the Blackhawks involved in their pathetic affairs.

In no way that behavior is excusable but yeah, in a vacuum, seems a bit harsh, eh?
Bill Peters is coaching in the WHL as well. I'm not against giving people 2nd chances but after what he did I don't know how I feel about Bill Peters coaching kids. WHL seems to have no problems with what Peters did but dishes out an indefinite suspension because of a broken stick? Seems strange to me.

Pitre and sidorov— any chance they are middle 6 scorers we need to replace silf next year?

I ve only seen highlights so i am curious about the people hardcore enough to follow the lower levels

Sidorov is similar to Pastujov. Both high end scorers whose big knocks are skating issues, who were taken in the 3rd round. Pastujov is in the AHL right now and is struggling.

Pitre looks like a promising bottom-6 with his hustle, speed, and willingness to grind. His scoring isn't screaming to translate well to the NHL, but things could change. His scoring rate this year looks similar to last year, at barely over a ppg rate.

I doubt either one will make the NHL jump next season. Pitre probably could stay in the OHL for another season since we're in no rush.

Pitre (along with Colangelo and Terrance) were the three prospects that really raised their stock in my eyes during the rookie camp and tourney. So I have some hopes for him.

Just saw the below on twitter as well. Love the call from the PxP lol. Very high hopes for Sidorov, I feel like he’s our Dostal of forwards. Seemed super happy to be part of the Ducks as well.

Also a i feel like a lot of kids could do the spin but most would just shoot it into the goalies chest. The placement of the shot was arguably the most impressive thing for me.

The issue I had with Sidorov when in camp is that he tries this stuff against NHL talent. Which is fine, but when it doesn't work he keeps trying to do it instead of adapting, like a less-talented Zegras.

I think he has a lot of potential but if it's going to be realized I think he needs to simplify his game a little bit, get comfortable with the NHL speed, and then start doing this stuff again.

- D Warren scored his first goal this past week!

- RW Sidorov increased is PPG rate from 1.50 to 1.53 this week.

- Forwards Terrance and Pitre keeping up their scoring rate above a ppg.

- D Hot Rod got traded to Saginaw and is scoring early for them.

- LW Hvidston returned from injury and getting in two games. No points scored, but can't expect much after missing about a month of hockey.
